agree, liked using our 6th on him, we got a nice young defense going on here... our secondary is just really young now but they'll get their chances from the front 7
I remember a few draft pundits on this forum said this guy was a steal in the 6th round (thought he had a 3rd/4th rd grade). LOVED how he played today.
Allen had a nice pick but Gronk did abuse him a lot today (as he does most guys). Many of you are forgetting the TD he got beat on if not for sun blinding Gronk. Gronk had a very good day so lets not crown him for doing a shut down job.
He had like no help on one of the best TE's in football all game, shut him down half the time got a pick 6 and the completions he did give up he stayed with him made tackles and wasn't that far from making plays. That was a fucking heroic performance how dare you.
Still not sure how he fell in the 7th round.... But that's okay. 3 of our 2012 defensive draft picks kicked ass in Coples, Allen and D. Davis. Snacks wasn't a draft pick but he's apart of that draft class. Bush needs to join in on the fun. That's alright though, he's been a nice contributor on special teams. Tannebaum left us with a good class that year if Hill takes a bit more strides.
I like what I saw. Played like a real pro. I feel good about this young defense for the future. Supplement in the offseason with some offensive weapons for Geno and we really have a chance to take this division over.
A very solid game for Allen. Everyone gets beat by Gronk a few times but Allen played him tough all game.
Gronk is a matchup nightmare and it shows how much they think he can cover by putting him one on one with him. In addition to the pick 6, he was in great position to pick one off early when he jumped in front of Gronk. It would be huge if we can have a safety that can cover.
