Bottom line, if the Jets really wanted him they would have just signed him off of Miami's PS. Instead they chose to sign Salas.
Man a lot of whiny people in this thread..... lay off the juice. People had a rooting interest in this kid because he grew up 30 minutes from Jetlife, played locally at a small school and showed some potential. I was pulling for him and disapointed he couldn't catch on.
he was garbage... when he gt a chance he blew it. everyone wanted him to succeed. hes not ready. could care less about him being gone. he was no Wayne Chrebet
Makes you wonder if he was purposely mislead. Not that I care, since he never proved himself against any starters.
These shifty little white fkrs seem to turn heads at a much faster rate than the megatron size guys with good speed but bricks for claws. MDG, woodhead, spdola, kerley, the busted up kid that replaced welker, welker, chrebet....on and on. Seems a lot less of a gamble on these little guys
Footballgod214 Totally Addicted I didn't know that Kerley lost all of his color and became white. INTERESTING!!!!
this was a real smart move by spadola. he showed the jets what he can do, now he's showing other teams too. as someone mentioned earlier....if we want him.....all we have to do is put him on our current roster...
I thought that Spadola chose the Miami PS over the Jets PS (until I saw this quote). My thinking was that he was fed up with the Jets for releasing him. I also had read that the Jets actively pursued him and tried to talk them into signing with them. The Jets cut him off the active squad to sign Michael Campbell from the PS to the active roster. It was their choice after seeing both players in practice, pre-season and Spadola on game day. Maybe because they thought Campbell might be a better ST player, I'm not sure their reasoning. But with Salas being injured the Jets could still get Spadola back by signing him off the Miami PS which is the how they got Salas (Phila PS). Basically they took Salas over Spadola when they signed him.
