Loved the win last night. Almost got out of it injury-free until Barnes went down. I saw it was a knee injury and he was walking with a noticeable limp after he left the field. Anybody hear anything about the extent of the injury yet? Hopefully it's nothing serious. We aren't exactly stacked at OLB.
supposedly the injury isn't serious but he may miss a little time. He has been big for us, he may not have a million sacks but he's pressuring the QB, losing him will hurt. Hopefully it isn't for long.
He brings a good energy, jumping around behind the line of scrimmage. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.
Been meaning to post this, I was paying attention to Coples the whole game, he was always a half second late/slow reacting to the snap.
that sucks. Barnes was providing a good rush, and in on all Nickel formations.. note, in preseason b4 Coples took the ankle injury, he was sliding inside with hand in dirt on Nickel packages. While he has been recovering, they have been pulling him on Nickel. Now it's going to be Pace and Coples at OLB in Nickel, or McIntire if they plan on ever sliding Coples back to the interior on those situations. Either way its a downgrade, as Pace can no longer pass rush, and Coples best pass rush spot is really inside.
That sucks. He isn't exactly a star player but provided some nice pressure and we don't really have the depth to make up for his loss at that position.
