I really dont wanna see Blaylock carry the ball again. I dont know why Cedric Houston isnt playing, he played ok last year and looked good in preseason. Barlow has at least showed a little, he should start.

I couldn't agree more. This was his second game, without producing anything. There is no reason why Houston should not be playing. Props to Barlow, but I have seen enough of Blaylock.

Because Barlow is a better power back than Houston. You don't bring in a change of pace back that does the same thing as your first back.

I agree that we have seen enough of Blaylock. I don't understand why they even consider running him between the tackles.

Houston must have done something to upset Mangini or make him lose faith in him that we dont know about because from what we have all seen Houston has been our most consistent back in preseason

Relax. It will happen. Who knows when though as Mangini has said they will feature different lineups and game plans against opponents. People get too anxious. It's too early to start talking about wholesale changes.

A classic example of why Blaylock sucks is one play there was a hole open and as Blaylock ran through it, a d-lineman stuck out an arm and was able to almost pull him down for a 2 yard gain. Barlow/ Houston wouldve ran right through no problem.

I'm pretty much fed up with Blaylock, too. I wasn't expecting him to put up decent numbers behind this awful run blocking, but he just can't get anything done. At least Barlow has the ability to gain positive yards after contact. With a combination of Barlow and Houston, the Jets would have a bruising run game that could hopeful wear down a defense through the course of a game.

All in agreement that Blaylock is the worst starting running back in the NFL right now, say aye...

Totally agree about Blaylock AND Strait. Strait is awful. Should've kept Mickens, quite a bad move there IMO.

Houston is definitely the better running back over Blaylock, who can't run or block. Bench his ass, and give Houston his chance, since they're not going to use Barlow all the time.

At this point something needs to change, because our running game BLOWS. What do you have lose, so shake it up and make some changes.
