Brees basically sucked balls until he got to NO. He was labelled a short Chad Pennington eith less accuracy and a stronger arm. And then went and paid Dr andrews to swap Chad's good rotator with Bree's bad one. Yep - the guy that people claimed multiple times they would rather have over Sanchez. Sanchez would be 4 games deep into this season and still starting if he wasn't injured - possibly with a better, same, or worse record, than Geno (cause you really don't know). But for those about to jump on me - Geno is my QB. ROFLCOPTER @ dinosaurs chasing medieval knights.
^ yeah, sorry but I felt it was necessary. We all knew coming in this was going to be a tough season. On the bright side the team has been competitive. Yes, young players make mistakes. The franchise has not seen enough Geno yet to label him one way or the other. It's stupid and premature to say he is not the answer or he is the next Qb to lead us to glory. I want to see more and I'm glad the leadership in the organization wants to see more.
I'm not sure obsessing over the Jets is healthy. I question my obsession all the time. I'm pretty sure fantasizing about them isn't healthy. You might want to seek some professional help.
It's totally F'ed up..but include me as a raving lunatic! I want this team to prove all the doubters wrong so badly.
Thank you Mr Kurt. As a Jet lunatic myself, I was feeling all alone out there for a while. I desperately want the Jets to shut all the doubter the hell up.
Poor choice of words by me Mr. Gibbs. More like an apocalyptic vision of the future Jets SB. I enjoy the feedback from many of you....puts things in perspective. Go jets
Two years... Two years and we are back to being perennial playoff contenders. That is if we extend Rex and continue to make the right decisions in the draft and FA. But I have faith in Idzick
This 100 % 2014...cap fixed, 12 precious assets in May to be used by a GM who, finally, treats them as such GO JETS!
I think you're misremembering. 2004 and 2005 Brees was pretty damn good on San Diego. 51 TD's and 22 picks. 65% completion percentage and the team went 20-11 over those two years when he started. You would sign for those numbers outta Geno any day.
