no, a bad throw to McKnight leads to a pick 6, that is a specific situation that you are ignoring, and are making a broad argument that any throw would lead to a pick 6, which simply is false.

now I am a broken record.

the only throw that wouldnt lead to a pick six couldnt be made by any qb in the game right now. the db literally has both guys covered and is in position to, once again like zach said, undercut the receiver and make a play on the ball. unless it got out there at like 100mph, the throw would have given the db enough time to make a break. this is the nfl, and hes less than 5 yards away. the db would have picked off that ball. the only reason it wasnt picked off is because the receiver had boxed out the db and the db couldnt get in front. he arrived the same time as the ball, and if the receiver was over to the middle of the field probably even a yard more, the ball gets picked.

that simply isn't true. QB's make and complete passes to the outside of the receivers towards the sideline every game, and they don't throw it 100 mph to do it. the defender playing McKnight was never going to make a play on the ball, and 40 wouldn't be anywhere close to a pass outside if thrown to McKnight.

Sam Bradford's average day is like Mark Sanchez ceiling.

Hard to argue with ignorant. the rout run on that play by Mcknight was a pick six if thrown a catchable ball period. Number 40 had his eyes on the Qb and had the break on the ball before it was released.

Hate Sanchez all you want but at least understand the game a little. Haters are going to hate. I do remember a thread some moron going through each one of Sanchez's passes in a game in the preseason where he completed 90% of his passes saying how bad they were. You probably agreed with that also.

Not only would that have been a pick but an easy pick. The play design was so bad your QB is put in a no win situation that is just bad coaching.

you're absolutely right, it is hard to argue with ignorance, as I am experiencing first hand.

40 barely makes it to the receiver that is thrown the ball, and is only two yard away, and now he is supposed to make it to McKnight, and a pass to the outside, which would be another 5 plus yards away? Sanchez would have to lob the ball underhand to throw a ball slow enough for 40 to make it there.

you need to understand the game and basic physics apparently. your defense is ludicrous.

One bad play call defines a coach?

ah yes, you can't dispute the argument so you resort to deflective ad hominems. well done, you just revealed your own knowledge and understanding of football.

my example doesn't even remotely apply to a Madden situation. yours, on the other hand, certainly would.

That play call defines Brian Schottenheimer in the same way the buttfumble defines Mark Sanchez.

It's a reinforcing placeholder on a commonly observed pattern of ineptitude.

well it's a defining moment. What truly defines Schotty is to ruin every young QB he works with. As well as having un uncanny ability to NOT score in thr 1st quarter of games, no matter what personnel are trotted out there.

The guy is freakin' awful and would be collecting trash cans if his Dad wasn't an NFL coach.

an ontime throw to the outside receiver is in NO way shape or form getting picked. no way no how no chance. and thats just putting it on his numbers. put it outside shoulder and there is no way in hell it gets picked and good probability its a first down.

this is not a sanchez point this is a make the right throw point.

You have been shone by at least three posters that your argument is ignorant at best idiotic at worst. The last place mark should of thrown that ball was to Mcknight. This play says a lot about Schotty very little about Sanchez. It is a big leap to conclude anything form this throw about Sanchez as you are trying to do.

nobody has shown anything. three people have stated the same thing and are wrong, and haven't shown how 40 could make it an additional five yards to pick off that pass when he barely makes it to the receiver in time to tackle him.

their a huge difference between a claim and showing proof that a claim is correct.

common sense reveals that 40 isn't getting to McKnight in time to pick off a pass thrown to the outside.

Schotty was better than sparano. What a joke sparano is. No game plan , No designed plays. Marty is a ton better then both.

Schotty looked horrible last night. I dont have much faith in Bradford as a QB either but that combination just looks awful. Sam works well going up tempo and Schotty completely is just taking away his strengths.

It looked more like bradford is a horrible QB but schotty been their long enough to at least come up with a TD drive.

That play wasn't nowhere near as inept as the buttfumble.
Bradford has posted career numbers so far under Schotty. Let's see how they do at the end if the season.
