That we pretty much knew going into the game...but this effort has been abysmal. Our D has been shredded to pieces, and the 1st and 2nd down 2 yard draws into the line have been very Herm like. It's a lack of intensity and a lack of preparation.

Just now we had a 3rd and one and couldn't convert. fucking junior seau. we probably won't convert on 4th either. in fact I bet my life we don't

so many things can change within this organization, but the luck never does

We're not as good as the Patriots? Thanks for that one Sherlock.

In all seriousness I'm dismayed at the total lack of preparation the Jets have shown for this game. I can understand that we don't have the talent that they have, but that's no excuse to not work as hard as them.

we lost this game at the LOS, if you look at every play our dline and oline are gettin pushed back so freakin far its unbelievable, these players have to hit the gym or gain weight. Thats why were not running or stopping the run

This is actually how I was expecting the Jets to play this season before Week 1. But after the Titans game, I was hoping for something more than this pathetic display. I didn't expect the Jets to beat the Patsies (my prediction was 17-9), but I didn't think they'd get manhandled on all fronts either.

I don't think it has anything to do with lack of preparation. Thats just an excuse fans make every time a team falls short. Its a lack of excution.

The play callin g has been impressive. We have played a lot better than the score. Although outr D does look terrible and one has to wonder if we playing with much heart. The one thing this team did well the last 5 years is it always played with heart and always showed up even if it did not have the talent to compete. Its to soon to say this team is not playing hard. I like what they are doing. But they need a few more breaks, few more third down completions and much better defensive play. But in all fairness to the defense they are playing in a new system with personel not best suited for that system yet.

While the score may be terrible there are a lot of things to be happy about. I am impressed with how well the Jets moved the ball in the 1st half despite the lack of points.

i hope its just our D gettin used to the new system because we're not winning any game if our d plays like this. its ridiculous, bradys spotless, their rb is guaranteed 5 yards everytime they run, horrific.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. The playcalling has been uninspired and predictable (namely on the 4th down and the touchdown where we loaded the box with 8 men.) Lack of execution hasn't helped but the Pats know exactly what we're doing out there, that's on the coaching staff.

Come on, we're competing in this damn game

For game #2 with a QB coming off injury and a rookie coach, you can't ask for any more

Back on the subject of playcalling, we're starting to mix it up a little with playfakes and spread formations now which is good.

On the other hand they still pull out headscratchers like the 1st down QB sneak. I guess you take the good with the bad and tip your cap to Mangini for refocusing the troops at halftime.

It doesn't seem to matter who's coaching, we just can't figure out clock management.
