just breaking now Richardson has disappointed thus far. 17 career games and 3.5 ypc is pretty bad. But awfully early to give up on him
I'm stunned at this trade, this is great for the colts though. Now Luck has a beast to hand the ball off to, could be a scary colts team now. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
Getting a #1 pick for him isnt actually giving up on him And you have to keep in mind hes from the previous GM That team is desperate for talent, so the move makes sense. What doesnt make sense however, is waiting until during the season to trade him, since it means they got less value than if they traded him during the offseason
Trent also played the second half of last season with broken ribs and some other injuries. How the hell is he supposed to run the ball when Weeden is horrible and their best target is Jordan Cameron? The pick wont even be in the top 10. Maybe they are going all in for Bridgewater and praying that Marqise lee or Sammy Watkins fall in their lap?
You're assuming other teams were calling them during the off-season offering a 1st and 3rd. The Colts more than likely made this trade only after losing Ballard for the season.
Which end of it? Trading Richardson for a low first-rounder or trading for him? Cause we ain't giving up a low first-rounder.
Everybody says the Jets are a circus, but is there any question that Cleveland is the biggest joke in the NFL? They're more then likely gonna wind up with the #1 pick next year anyway on record alone!? Wouldn't it have behooved them to get their franchise QB next year and have a solid RB to pair him with? What a joke they are...
Personally, no. Richardson is better than our current RB's, but RB has changed quite a bit in the NFL. First of all, I think we need a solid WR more than a RB. Second, I think Goodson (when he returns), Ivory and Powell will prove to be a solid backfield, particularly in Morningwood's offense. Third, if our current RB's don't work out, you can often hit pay dirt with a RB in a later round than the 1st. All that said, this trade took me by surprise, for sure.
It's hard to believe I'm saying this, but I think the Raiders have more wins in them then the Browns. Pryor has been surprisingly effective this year.
Pryor is fun to watch no doubt, but that team doesn't have any talent outside of McFadden. Cleveland at least has a good defense. That will get them at least 4 or 5 wins IMO. It's not out of the realm though, anything can happen.
