Nobody is over reacting to Hill. He had drops in both halfs. Catching the ball is kind of an important part of being a WR.

For when this thread gets bumped in 2-3 yrs:

Hill will be our best receiver with multiple 100 catch 1,000 yard seasons.

Sure hope you're right - he looked great on tape before the Jets drafted him.

You are damn straight he is. He is a knucklehead plain and simple. If he and gates were on my team, they would not see the field for at least the following week. Shit, if they are going to drop balls that way, I might as well see what else I have on the roster or practice squad. If I was the GM, Braylon would be signed before the end of the night. Practice wold be nightmarish for those dudes. No way I allow that kind of lack of focus to permeate my team. It is like a cancer. If it is ok for them, it is ok for everyone. Inexcusable for a pro receiver.

Rex was pretty clear he didn't want him picked in the 2nd round.

Braylon is for a team that is contending with a veteran QB like Mark Sanchez or the like.

Idzik doesn't want Braylon on the team, or Sanchez. Gates and Hill can each drop 20 balls this year and they will still be playing. Idzik is writing off this year.

Braylon is injured, he can't play, so I don't think it would be smart to go sign him now. The WR situation is tough right now, and obviously NE would also be looking for guys as well. Hopefully the coaches can do a lot of drills with the WRs that emphasize catching the ball- and we have to seriously evaluate whether we have an acceptable Wide Receivers coach or not.

    What's your 40 time?

But yeah...how shitty do our skill players have to be before we start pointing a finger at the position coaches?

This kid has cost RR two potentially career saving wins @NE. He is a freak athlete, not a physical football player. That fumble was inexcusable. Im so fucking pissed about pissing those games away.

Too many people going full emo here. The fumble was ridiculous bad luck, though he needs to learn to secure the ball better. He's clearly progressed from last year and he's going to be really, really good.

Agreed. Through the first two weeks he's tied for 4th in the league in receptions and is 10th in yards gained. Sure, let's get rid of this guy immediately...

You do realize that is because he has played twice as many games as everyone else?
