The problem with Gates and Hill is they are body catchers. Gates is only there because they have no one else. Hill needs to learn to catch with his hands.

I noticed this too. Especially with Hill. While other good big WRs like braylon and Keyshawn would attack the ball with their hands, hill kind of just looks it into his body.

at some point it just boils down to laziness, catching a football is something that CAN be taught. not fumbling the football is something that CAN be taught. however it takes a TON of time to really become an anquan boldin it takes catching thousands and thousands of balls. most guys dont care enough to really put in the work to be great. thats why guys like jerry rice were so great, they worked and worked and worked and worked at their craft.

Gate's play may open the door more for Spadola. That kid seems special. Yes, I know his one pass over the middle was knocked out of his hands. But I can't forget that diving catch for 7 in pre-season. I need to see me more of this kid.
