i dont really give a fuck about mark sanchez the football player, i would hate to see him end up like chad pennington with a swiss cheese shoulder and shoulders are very very tricky parts of the body. so heres to hoping he gets the surgery, he is able to do everything he needs to do into old age and that he goes somewhere else after the season.
What's the point of doing rehab and then having surgery at the end of the year? Might as well get the surgery over with now and be ready for next season to get a chance for a backup job somewhere...
i really feel that sancho was in that game because geno had played poorly and rex wanted sancho to come in and hit 6 of 7 for 83 yards and a td then take him out and use the fact that sancho had played decently and that geno struggled to try and sway the fo guys into letting him start sancho. i cannot see any other reason that he did it. he didnt need reps, he had gotten plenty of reps especially when geno was injured. he wanted him to go in there and shine like a diamond so he could use geno doing poorly and sancho doing well together in his sales pitch.
I see this statement over and over. You are a blind hater if you blame 2 years of failure on one person.
I may dislike Sanchez play but I never wanna see a guy get hurt. I think he should have the surgery and rehab so he can be able to get on with another team next year.
This seems like the most likely scenario. However Rex more than anybody has been hurt by Sanchez struggles the last two seasons. He lost his close ally in Mike Tannenbaum and with that a huge amount of his clout in the organization. I could see Rex giving Sanchez that 11 mnutes to either prove out or hang himself for good. What I'm trying to say is that putting Sanchez in wasn't necessarily the better angels in Rex Ryan's nature winning out. He was in with scrubs and something like the injury was a real possibility. Looking bad playing with and against scrubs was a real possibility.
Why not? There are some awful quarterbacks starting in the NFL right now. If he can get healthy, he'll get a shot somewhere next year.
I wouldn't right off Sanchez so fast. Take a look at Drew Breese before and after Dr. Andrews operated on him. I'm convinced he not only fixed his shoulder but he did something to his brain. This might be just the thing to turn Sanchez around.
never want to wish a serious injury on anyone, but id be lying if i said i wasnt glad that his season is over and the jets dont have a choice to go to him now. /SanchezEraThankGoodness
Well that most certainly seals the deal for him here in New York. Unfortunate circumstance, but in the long run (provided the injury doesn't have many lasting effects) it may be just what the doctor ordered. This gets him out of NY where I truly believe he can do no more and gives him a chance at a fresh start elsewhere. I think he still has a chance to find some success elsewhere in the right situation. Always admired how he carried himself, just made some really poor mistakes on the field over the years.
This is really sad, honestly. Say what you want but Sanchez is a tough kid that didn't really come into a great situation with Rex being a rookie HC and not having a clue ho to groom a young QB. 3 offensive coordinators, 2 QB coaches and a revolving door of low level playmakers on offense as the years went on were part of the kids problems. A change of scenery is really what the kid needs.
Agree. The Jets have proven one thing to me over the past decade or so; they are run very poorly. *Cant' Draft for shit, with the exception of a few above average to good players *Are unwilling to re-sign their own players, these players go on to have good careers in other places *Don't Develop players well *Make questionable signings that result in disaster *Don't have any skilled players that strike fear in anybody, can anybody remember a real weapon on O? Sanchez will go on to have a very good career and be a starter again in the next 2 years.
