I figured there probably were but what I said wouldn't have sounded as good if I didn't pad the time frame a bit.

How dare you exhibit a cautious, upbeat, and realistic attitude! You sir are no Jets fan! We are either winning or losing by 40 because Geno is God or he sucks. There is no in the middle.

    Great post.

If they can run for 130 yards and protect the ball they have a very good shot on Thursday. They rush for 70 yards, turn the ball over twice, and fail to move the chains (especially in the first half) it will be along night

Haha..just saw the Jets re-signed Ben Obomanu as insurance to Kerley...that will tip it for us for sure.

I generally agree but we seem to be getting the Pats at the right time. They have injuries and looked out of sync in week 1. There will never be a better time to play them this year. Doesn't mean we should expect to win and be crushed if we lose, but I think it's reasonable to look at this as a very winnable game. Also, am I the only one who noticed how awful the top teams in the AFC look so far (outside of Denver)? 8-8 has a very good chance to grab a wildcard this season in a bad conference. If the Jets can hover around .500, they will be in playoff contention into late December.

I had a decent amount of optimism before this, but now I'm feeling a little better yet.

Almost all of the TNF games last year were close games, because teams didn't have the full, proper time to prepare for the game. I heard Vereen was out yesterday, which was a nice sign of hope. Then today I found out Amendola is like Gronk, unlikely to play. So that is a huge bonus for us. He is their (as of this week) primary threat. I really feel like we can stop them, and if Geno limits his turnovers, that we can score enough points.

^^ +1 haha, and also, don't act like Braylon was a lock to get the call before Ben, but didn't because of his injury. Braylon was released about 2 weeks earlier. He doesn't play ST, and Ben does. I think this is who they wanted the whole time.

The jets weakness still appears to be the hurry up offense and Tom has shown it doesnt matter who he has out there.

If the wr is in the right spot he"ll lay it in to him nicely.

Bottomline like every patriot thread is to put Brady on his ass. Do that and keep the game close we"ll have a good chance at winning.

Are you on CRACK??? What happened the last two times we faced them on national TV night games in the regular season???

Last yr: butt fumble game. HORRIBLE
    Dec. 6, 2010: SODOMY

They've beaten the Jets 5 out of the last 7 times. That said, I fu king hate the Pats and hope we knock brady out for the season

    ^ +1.

I mean Geno is in no position for anyone to bring up a "letdown game" or anything like that.

He's still LEARNING on the job.

I wouldn't call it a huge concern. We were facing one of the toughest defensive fronts in the NFL. The Patriots do not compare to them although they have improved up front.

We always do well against the Pats early in the season but stink it up for the late season game. Not sure why, but that's the pattern. I'm pretty sure the Jets vs Patriots playoff game was prime time and we whooped em. Your point is irrelevant as the Patriots are missing several key players for this match and they barely squeaked by the Bills. We were a dropped pass away from beating them last season with the 6-10 team, and we're in much better shape this year. Their secondary is still pretty much garbage, and Brady will be relying on untested unproven WRs and TEs. It's not like he's got Gronk, Hernandez and Welker. It's a bunch of no names and now one of their big RBs is hurt too.

Yes he did. After the game you didn't hear one person say oh man hes a rookie that's a terrible game. Everyone said they were surprised by his poise and outside of 2 mistakes they said he played much better than they expected.

I am expecting a game that will end up something like Bellichick is a genius and bated Geno into some terrible throws, etc. etc. And I am not even a darksider. I hate the Patriots with a passion and cant wait until they are pathetic.
