yep. i wonder if the jets get a discount on the next deal. after all, they did waste two years of starter salary to develop this guy from nothing. i wonder if he appreciates it and gives the jets a 'hometown discount'. or does he say: now that i'm good, pay me! (sadly, it's likely the latter, innit)
Yep, those 3 years are a perk of being an early round pick... But if he can play, we'll take it! Hopefully he won't be one of those guys who "forgets" how to play in between contract years.
Offensive guards and tackles once established will have much longer careers then most LB's. Also to have one that can play G/T left and right in a pinch is huge!!! I know he still has much to prove but he looks like he is on his way. B
Yeah, if he's able to put together a good season this year he's absolutely worth extending, and he shouldn't command a huge contract after just 1 year as a starter. It's definitely a good thing when you have linemen who can play multiple spots.
He's starting to turn out to be quite a story, just at the right time too. Hopefully He'll be playing long after Bowman hangs up his boots

Call me a Jet fan, but i still think the guy blows. I know a lot of people on here see improvement, but improving from terribad to below average isn't much of an improvement for our QB/RB. I'll need to see what he does on the field this year before he gets a pat on the back. Fingers crossed he turns into bowling ball with knives.
I wouldn't call him below average, average yes and getting better yes. He is doing what he is supposed to do, learn and progress.
I just happy we may actually have an offensive line that is not offensive. Might even have some depth as well.

his ability in open space is something that I liked when he came out having that mauler up front is key to any offense
