One of these media members is gonna get hurt

Mehta will simply write an article saying that Idzik is foolish for cutting him, talking him up as the best kick/punt returner in the history of the NFL, etc etc etc. Anything the Jets do, Mehta will spin it into the worst possible negative.

If the Jets won a Super Bowl, Mehta would write an article about how the Super Bowl doesn't mean what it used to mean, that the Jets were still a horrible team and can't really be considered the true champions, etc, etc, etc. Mehta just thinks that if he writes enough horrible articles about the Jets he will eventually get a radio sports show or an ESPN gig. He has no interest in being objective, and frames everything through his pre-conceived lens where the Jets have to be terrible.

    ???

This is some Mehta type bullshit where something sensational is fabricated to create a story & draw attention. There's been ZERO reports of Cimini & Mehta being physically threatened or attacked How about another thread where you hope no body vandalizes the cars of any Jets players because somebody can be seriously hurt from that also.

To actually be that affected by their garbage articles is just silly. I simply troll their twitters. I call Mehta a turd sandwich every day, about to do it now.

Since the Jets organization seems to have no clue in how to run a football team, maybe he thought he would take a shot. Couldn't do worse.

Journalism is dead. Mehta and Cimini are hyenas feasting on its carcass. I'd laugh my ass off if they got the shit kicked out of them for the lazy hack bullshit they write all while laughing at the unbalanced psycho doing it. If we're lucky they go for the trifecta and beat Adam schein's ass too.

There is no money in catering to the die hards. The money is in catering to the masses. That's why the media continues to put out the dopey bullshit they do. It's designed for the dopes that eat it up.

So either ignore it or cry about it.

There are some things out there for the die hards but sometimes you have to pay a premium for it or deal with less than professional writing quality. Or just do more digging and come up with it yourself.

The reality at this point is that if you're a discerning Jets fan you get the best information on a multitude of sites on the internet, none of which are a local or general sports information outlet.

The day when we got news from newspapers is over. If you need to know the cap info on the Jets you go to overthecap.com, if you want good information on the Jets you go to a fan site of the team, like TGG, TOtJ, GGN, FBO, etc.

Really you could go an entire season without looking at ESPN, the Post, the News, the Star Ledger, etc and not miss a lot. That's not saying that some of the info there is not entertaining or accurate but almost none of it is necessary.

Manish Mehta isn't selling to inquiring Jets fans. He's selling to people who like seeing the Jets trashed on a regular basis. Rich Cimini is selling "the circus" to a national audience. Not that there's any circus there at this point but people who don't watch the Jets closely don't know that. They want stories that illustrate the Jets supposed dysfunction to confirm their existing views of the team.

If you get upset at either of the writers above it's really more on you than them because they're not trying to write for you. They've got other clientele they are servicing with the trashy pieces.

I'm not buying it. This tripe is fed to sites like this. It's directed at the reactionary types that want to start a thread about stupid shit that they have rattling around in their heads.

And worthless turds like Mehta and Cimini troll this site and others for that exact purpose. To make their easy job easier. They don't have to think when they can let other people think for them. They are mostly talentless, and completely effortless.

The only way to avoid them is to remove their worthless articles, if that is what you want to call them, from the places that they think will give them the most run.

I don't like censorship, but I like corporate parasites even less.

If you remove everything that is designed to spin and sell from the internet you're going to have like .1% of the content that is out there now.

They should make a movie based on this premise "Who Shot Manish?" it could be like a game of clue with Mr.T,Rex,and mark sanchez all suspects with there own reasons to hate him,Then the movie takes a left turn when Fireman Eds fingerprints are found on the scene,it would be a classic

i do remember this, when he first started alot of people spoke highly of him. now they hate him. although i think that he has completely changed the way he writes at this point. he was probably a substance guy that nobody cared about and now he is known by everyone.

so like someone else said, we are at fault.

I honestly do not remember that. I only remember disliking almost all Jets beat writers since I started following online. But who knows, maybe he had to start legitimate to get his foot in the door. Now he's just being an attention whore. The media is going to hate it when the Jets end up being semi decent this year and their views go down.

Mehta had a couple objective articles then realized the only way to make a name for himself is to be outlandish, sensationalist and start rumours. It's worked, people know his name. But for all the wrong reasons.
