McElroy freaking sucks bro. He can't be a starter in this league. Geno at least has the potential to be a good QB. Last year everyone wanted McElroy. He got his shot in the Chargers game, and then everyone is done with him after.
The one consolation is that Geno is a rookie. I can tolerate those throws from Geno. Not from Sanchez the 5th year vet.
This exactly. Sanchez hasn't improved in 5 years. This is Geno's first start. You people need to calm down.
He played in a system that made his stats look great, thus putting him on the map. If it wasnt for that extremely hot start, most people prolly would have never heard of him. He would likely have been a late pick like 5th or 6th round. The hot start put him all over ESPN thus tons of attention and praise. Id love for him to succeed but I just don't see it happening. And if hes not the answer then we will be drafting ANOTHER QB
What's funny is Eli is looking worse then Geno out there. Just throwing the ball up there all willi nilly... Oh wait, that's Eli's career in a nutshell...Just lob it up! And pray!
If that's what it takes, then so be it. If Geno isn't ready, then let Sanchez stink it up until Geno is ready.
I am, however getting the feeling that regardless of who is at QB we may be a 4-6 win team this year, I'm not impressed with the QB play (but again I'll cut Geno the traditional rookie slack), the running game isn't looking good and the defense isn't looking like a top 10 unit, though granted it's pre-season. this has all the markings of a very bad season.
