http://www.sbnation.com/2013/8/8/4598028/mark-sanchez-jets I am not a total Sanchez hater but these are some interesting stats.
When you watch him play he sucks, and his stats tell you he sucks. So I don't know what more is there to show.
The article started out great but then got bad really, really fast. At the end he was basically making butt-fumble jokes...again and again and again.
How dare you post an article with stats that show that Mark wasn't a top 10-15 QB in 2010 or 2011. The article hit it on the head - it is not that he sucks, is that we have allowed him to suck for 4 straight possibly 5 straight years.
there is nothing interesting about that article. This is like a message board post not a real article.
Man I had somehow gotten those memories from the gif's out of my memory. Seeing those again just brings back flashbacks of screaming consecutive curse words at my tv for throwing into (as the article says) triple, AND EVEN QUADRUPLE coverage. So here I am all worked up again on a thursday before the pre-season even has started. I swear if we start Mark week 1 of the real season...IDK...I can't just not love the Jets suddenly. I'll just say I'm going to be livid.
The biggest mistakes the Jets made regarding Sanchez IMO: 1. Switching OC's just as Sanchez seemed to be making progress 2. Extending Sanchez to a longer term contract -though the Jets were winning and he was really popular among casual fans, so it made sense at the time 3. Plaxico Burress 4. Bringing Tebow in a "competition" 5. Thinking Shonn Greene could replace LT in establishing a solid run game This year the Jets added considerable depth to both the QB and RB situation. It hasn't all worked out, but I think they are considerably better and have finally put mark in a do-or-die situation. IMO Mark Sanchez needs an EXCEPTIONAL year to remain a Jet, and at least a good year to at the bare minimum convince other teams that there's some value to having a regressing 27 y/o QB around. I think the Morningweg offense will allow Mark to at least have a decent year.
Is there any chance of getting Tony Romo, Phillip Rivers, or Matt Hasselbeck Actually what is more disturbing is the 3 of the 20 worst QBs were franchise QBs for the Jets. Doesn't say much about this org.
stats w/o context. it's what those that don't understand the game use. That chart tells us daunte Culpepper, danny White, Milt Plum, Rich Gannon, Bert Jones, Ken Stabler, Tono Romo, Neil Lomax, etc... were better than Dan Marino, Roger Staubach, Brett Favre, etc...- it must be true the chart says so!
No its just another reason out of a million why Sanchez is garbage and the entire world looks at the Jets as a joke
yo guys are right, we had the '85 bears defense w/ Walter payton and jim Brown in the backfied, Shannon sharpe at TE, Jerry Rice and Don Hutson at WR. It was the QB that held us back! the #s say he sucks so that must be true and from now on I consider daunte Culpepper, danny White, Milt Plum, Rich Gannon, Bert Jones, Ken Stabler, Tono Romo & Neil Lomax better than Dan marino. You can't argue w/ rankings!
