Holmes is done. Even if he comes back this season he's not going to be the player he once was. He knows he's getting cut next season and is not going to risk getting hurt again and ruining his chances to hook up another payday. Guys calling for Ocho or Llyod are fooling themselves if they think they are going to give us any chance of a decent offense. Our new GM needs to go out and make a deal for Maclin or another wideout that's going to be a long term addition to this offense. Someone who can build chemistry with our QB's this season and into the future.
Ah, I mistook that pic from his Steelers drinking photo. Too much hate for Holmes. It's silly. Hey here's some pics that happened AFTER the contract. OMG He sucks!
They just signed Edwards, tried out a couple of others and other than that they don't have a dime to pay anybody else.
He definitely doesn't suck when he is healthy. But I don't think that was the argument. You don't have to suck to be a punk bitch. Terrell Owens proved that for over a decade. He also proved that being good doesn't mean that you are an overall benefit to your team.
He's setting himself up for 14 games of rest, so he can prove in the final two irrelevant games that he is healthy and ready to work out a contract with his new team. Punks like this guy don't understand the concept of a hero. They understand the concept of the big payday.
he's gotten paid. I think he is using this to help prop his image up. I could be wrong, but it just comes across like over dramatizing to me.
Are you reading a different thread? What does this thread have to do with whether he sucks or not. You screwed up by posting gay laughing faces while incorrectly criticizing the posted pictures, got called out on it, then sarcastically say "OMG, he sucks", while that wasn't the point. Call it a day.
Saw him working it out on the treadmill not sure what station it was? I was in a bar so I couldn't hear what he was saying in the interview either. He just classless, not a champion, just a hot dog that has no heart. Hat cocked backwards, unshaven scraggly homeless man beard. It's like really Holmes? This is how you want to present yourself day 1 at training camp? I guess +1 bc you made it there. If you go back to 2010 I was all about the move. I couldn't believe we were getting him for only a 5th. I saw the super bowl catch, beautiful. I lived in Pburgh at the time (pretty much sucks) he had just posted his best regular season with the steelers. He was quick, got upfield and played the game like he gave a shit. The ego just seemed to grow and grow, eventually taking over his game. When you call players out to the media and than get caught taking plays off yourself how can you be trusted, a leader or Got forbid a captain? The football toss to the 49ers was my dagger. I never saw that once in my entire life. I see players get knocked unconscious and somehow still manage to hold onto the football. The thought has to be about team first, protecting the football as a meaning of life or death. This is not some fischer price league. Holmes, while injured and understandly in excurciating pain probably pulled the most slap dick move and total disregard for team I have ever witnessed. That was disgusting. The Holmes hate is warranted if you follow football. He's suppose to be #1 an elite leader on the team. He certainly earns the bread that comes with those expectations. Some of these decisions he makes are so simple and yet he chooses to make it harder for himself. Personally, as many posters here already know, i have been down and out on this guy for awhile. I dont see him as an asset in the huddle anymore. Holmes, instead has become a major liability. I am Looking forward to his departure as early as can be.
Still doesn't make up for his inflated salary and all the other bullshit that comes along with him. He doesn't suck as an athlete but he hasn't paid off for this team.
He hasn't paid off for the team, and it's hard to trust that he'll be offering much this season. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he hasn't earned that. At least he seems to work hard giving pointers to the younger players
Football players have to get paid as much as possible really quickly because of the nature of the sport. It wasn't his fault Tanny overpaid for him, the Redskins wanted him which forced Tanny to overpay a little. What has he done outside of the situation at the end of 2011? He was frustrated with Mark and Schotty (justifiably so) he just handled it wrong. He took a pay cut this year and has tried to mentor the young receivers and has had a good relationship with Sanchez after the big blow up at the end of '11. The hate is far overblown IMO.
Carted off at camp. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...clin-reportedly-suffers-injury-at-eagles-camp Hope the best for him.
I'm not falling for that sentimental bullshit. He was overpaid and an ass hole to this team. We should of kept Cotchery Braylon and Keller together and got Kerley and Hill. Cotchery the classiest of the classy didn't like Holmes
