Kellen Winslow Jr. Tweets "#BRAYLONISBACK"

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by BroadwayAaron, Jul 24, 2013.

  1. I hate to tell ya this but Braylon no longer has his speed. In fact he's a step or 2 slow. You put the faster DB on Hill all day long.

Good signing by the Jets. Big receivers tend to provide good safety nets for young QBs. I would think that if Geno starts (and he should) that Braylon would be an asset for him.

I think the Jets should also bring in Mark Anderson, who the Bills just released, if they can afford it. He can still rush the passer as a specialist.

UPDATE: Edwards will sign a one-year contract with the Jets on Thursday, a source informed of the move told NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. The plan is for Edwards to be in training camp Thursday morning.

Because it's already been proven that Geno Smith can't throw..

Besides Sanchez and Hill, that doesn't describe anyone else.

And Hill still has potential and time to improve in that category.

Those stats are deceptive. Edwards was injured in both years. When he came to the Jets late last season he had 10 receptions in 3 games, 3.3 per game. Last year Kerley averaged 3.5. That's pretty good considering Edwards was coming off an injured knee, and barely had any time to practice with the team. If Edwards gets to have a full training camp with the team and stick around, I think we'll be in pretty good shape. He may not be like 2010, but he could be close.

Despite only playing at the end of the season and not playing with the Jets for a couple seasons, Edwards and Sanchez had great chemistry and just clicked last year.

It's crazy to think that we now have two former top-6 picks on the team in Winslow and Braylon for the combined price of what we're paying Nacho for 5 games.

heading there Saturday, just printed my "tickets" (basically a waiver). Stoked to say the least!

SO excited to see the Jets sign #17, he wants to be a jet, is a better reciver than anybody we have healthy now (Maybe not JK, but different recievers), and is signed for the vet min. Whats not to like!
