Chrebet was VERY underrated by opposing D-Coordinators and DBs. That's the only explanation for his ability to ALWAYS get open on critical 3rd downs....other teams never 'game planned' for him and it cost them over and over and over again.

I think his athletic ability and strength are severely underrated by fans. he's seen as this poor little slow guy outworking people to make his mark but he was very quick and very strong.

Wayne was fast, I saw apractice video of Vinny throwing him about a 30 yd fade and he outran Aaron Glenn 60 yds to the end zone

I actually met Wayne Chrebet when I was pretty young and he shook my hand and absolutely crushed it. The guy had a great first step and was definitely very strong. He just didnt have the 40 speed or long distance straight line speed.

I always thought Chrebet was over rated. I can see why people liked his lunchpail style and story.

James Chadwick Pennington is and always will be one of my favorite Jets. Like many other fans I always play the "What if" game with Chad. He is one of the more under rated players.

We all love Wayne but he is vastly overrated by Jet fans. There are some that think he was better than Key, he wasn't half the player Key was. That's not an insult to Wayne either, Key was a great player for us and both were better as teammates than they ever were apart.

Key was better, but wasn't the same player after leaving the Jets, he became more of a possession receiver

I´m only following the Jets for about 10 years now, so i cant really judge that all Time Lists. But shouldnt Brandon Moore be on that List?

We will always differ on Kyle Clifton, the only thing he didn't do for the Jets was hold up the 1st down marker...a very very good sure tackler

When we needed a 1st down on 3rd down that little beast would pick it up, a lot.

Good point, it seemed like every catch was for a 1st down

I remember looking it up years ago and Key had a higher % of 1st down recs on 3rd down but Wayne had the reputation.

Keyshawn absolutely should be on the overrated list.
#1 overall pick, and people still feel the need to argue that he was 'better than Chrebet'.....an UDFA who made clutch grabs.

Me-shawns ego was much bigger than his game....which was essentially possession WR and big red zone target... never should have gone #1 overall.
