What a ridiculous win for the Mets - Collins and Kirk Gibson trade idiotic managerial decisions, Mets leave 20 men on base, and still get a walkoff win.

I have never seen anything like that in my life. I would fire him right now. But we'll take them how we can.

Hefner with another good start. Satin playing great so far.

Fireworks Night and Matt Harvey night for me tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and Harvey will do something fun. I was at Seaver's 19 K game, so how about something better than that, Matt?

Wright continues to make his case to start at the All Star Game, homering. Too bad Murphy got thrown out at second in front of him (great play by the Arizona outfielder).

I did my 35 ballots. Vote Wright.

Meh. Long rain delay to start the game (1 hour 50 minutes), Harvey clearly didn't have it from the 2nd batter on (of course he still got 9 Ks because, well, he's Matt Harvey), long and relatively choppy game (more than 3 hours). At least the fireworks were nice, but even those got screwed up for a few minutes when the recording they were using broke down.

    Like I said, meh.

Don't worry about Harvey sucking last night. The only Mets game I've been to this season was the one where Harvey sucked against the Reds!

This surprises you? The Mets find new ways almost weekly to lose games.

Well that's sucktastistic news... where do they plan on playing him? With the way Satin has been playing they shouldn't take time away from him.

I have no problem with them playing Satin, but do you really think that this is anything but a mirage? There's usually a reason why someone has 28 lifetime major league plate appearances with a .192 BA at the age of 28 (as Satin did before this year).

Davis, of course, is the exact opposite situation - the concern at this point is that we know exactly what he is, and it's Dave Kingman, not Carlos Delgado. I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to play him because they hope they can get something for him before the trade deadline.

I'd platoon them and then see if Ike has any value on the trade market.

The first inning and a half of the Mets game has been pretty terrible. There have been at least 5 bad plays by both teams.
