I guess you're talking about the people who were saying he'd be playing early in the year due to the slow legal process. I figured it was a given that he'd be cut the moment he was arrested.

There's nothing out still out there in terms of offensive weapons, so they are kind of fucked. However, unfortunately, the Pats have never had truly great weapons. Case and point compare Branch's career in NE and outside of NE. There were a few other WRs that put up good numbers for NE that sucked after they left and I cant remember their names because that's how irrelevant and replaceable they were.

A good QB in a good system behind a good line >>>>>>>>> great weapons. What do Calvin, Andre, Larry, AP, CJ2K, and Lesean have in common? Big contracts and no rings.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the pats as much as every other man outside of Mass. Just being realistic. I dont think this going to affect the pats that much. I'd be way happier if Logan Mankins capped one of his friends.

That being said, if this small town DA botches his case, Id sign him in a hot second. Its football not congress, and we do actually need something on this side of the ball.

I actually dont like the Patriots move. Idk what they know, but I deeply believe in the American justice system, due process and all of that. They're pretending to "respect the system" while actually disrespecting it and kissing their own asses. Surprise.

Some of the charges are murder, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a large capacity firearm

Thats just it though, it bothers me because for all we know he could be innocent on all charges, and technically he is until a jury says otherwise.

The Pats not only cutting him, but doing before the indictment just seems haughty and arrogent. Im sure they have a way better idea of how this all played out than we do, but its the idea that bugs me.

Obviously he's going to be remanded, but idk... Philosophically it doesnt sit right with me. In practice, I guess it doesnt matter, but still...

The patriots aren't the justice system

They don't have to treat him innocent until proven guilty

Idk, Vick, Ray, Plax, its not unprecedented and he is a uniquely talented tight end. I understand its murder, but Im just not about jump in the gun, so to speak, lol.
