I obviously read over it on Page 2...I scanned through 3 pages and didn't see it. Then when you say that, I scan it closer and see it, ugh....MERRRRRRRRRGE. My bad.
Whatever, its still a really good article. I'm optimistic on Barlow, he needs a little more time to be versed in this offense but I think he should get the bulk of the carries on the inside and we use Blaylock for checkdowns and pitches and whatnot.
He has been impressing me every day, since he opened his mouth...from an off-the-field stand point anyway....
I hope Barlow makes the most of his opprtunity. The slate is clean here and his fumble in pre-season doesn't mean anything.
It's time for Barlow to walk the walk and he knows it. I'd be watching tons of game film from the Pats-Bills game if I were him. The entire offense is going to hinge on whether he can grind out some yards and keep the Pats guessing where it's coming from next. If Barlow can make some yards, anything's possible for Pennington. Seems like the O-line is really going to be tested this week and I think they're going to be up for it. I just wish Pete Kendall was still in there.
Barlow is a guy that uses holes. While, Blaylock is a guy that uses blockers. Both could be very good in the long run.
I hope the work ethics translate into production. He is a guy who has the skills. If his head is in the right place, he is a pretty good back. It would be great to see him succeed here.
So from what I understand the only reason blaylock is in the game is because barlow has'nt learned the playbook ?
Great to see Barlow is dedicated to improving and is willing to do anything. Anyways I see a lot of great things in that article... When Barlow scored the Jets’ first touchdown in the second quarter Sunday, he trotted from the end zone to the sideline and gave the ball to Mangini. “You should have this,” Barlow said. and also loved the last point about Chad.
lets hope Barlow starts and shines. I always liked Blaylock but after seeing him struggle im not comfortable with him at all...
Yeah, I was not impressed by him at all. It may be pre-mature to judge just yet as the Titans are very good against the run.
I think we should start barlow and have cedric split the carries with him(which i think houston deserves afterall he did take over for curtis last year) then we can see who really deserves the starting job
