Does anyone know if the jets training camp schedule for cortland NY is out yet? And if yes, where can I find it? Thanks, JETBO
The drive sucks. But I found Cortland itself to be a really cool location for TC. Beautiful scenery mixed w/ an urbanized college town. I do miss the old days at Hofstra but this is a true training camp environment. Too many distractions for the players in Long Island. My biggest beef is you never know what days are going to be open to the public anymore. It's impossible to take time off from work & plan a trip out.Used to be every practice except for maybe 1 a week were accessible.
Cortland TC That's what I was thinking, an overnight, but not knowing what dates are open to the public would suck!!!! I'm hoping to check out Doug's fish fry for dinner. Jetbo
Yeah, I don't get it at all. This team seems to welcome the circus atmosphere at all times but then doesn't publicize the dates for camp. WTF? Cortland is a great place though. Definitely a great location for camp.
The Jets usually publish the entire training camp schedule. I've seen it seasons past. Times, dates, one-a-days, two-a-days, open, closed, Special Teams practice only, etc. They may not yet have it all figured out, but when they do they will publish it. Not just for fans, but for sports writers, ESPN, etc. We went to the green and white scrimmage last year. It seemed a bit disorganized and kind of hard to follow, but had a great time. Good, festive atmosphere with Kids Camp, merchandise tents, food tents, etc. Cortland College charged $5 to park, but that's not on the Jets.
I went to SUNY Cortland. The best place to eat there hands down is Garcia's. Rex has mentioned it numerous times during PCs.
Yeah but it's always subject to change. Many times the open & closed sessions end up changing throughout the week due to weather, media, etc.
This can happen....drove up once without checking and caught a 'special teams only practice'....hahaha bunch of ballerinas trying to catch on with the NFL.
