Possibly the greatest pass rusher of all time and one of the great interviews of all time.

My favorite Deacon Jones quote, on Dick Butkus."He was an animal, and he was a well conditioned animal and when he hit you he tried to put you in the cemetery not the hospital."

The rams say he would have had 173.5 sacks for his career if that stat was kept when he played..and for those who don't know he was the first to use the term sack to begin with.

The secretary of defense was 6'5" and faster than any lineman, kind of like the way Wilt Chamberlain dominated

A lot of football players die young, especially linemen.

I guess carrying all that extra weight, they eat a lot when they play to maintain the weight and when they retire they eat the same and can't lose it, and a lot of them balloon up, taxing their hearts...

The inventor of the head slap. In 1967/1968 he had 50 sacks over two consecutive 14-game seasons, an absolutely preposterous fact. Only Rosey Grier is left of the Fearsome Foursome.

    RIP.

Yeah I remember on NFLN Top 10 Pass-rushers, he said he had like 24 and 26 in back to back seasons, that's freaking crazy.

RIP to the greatest pass-rusher to ever play the game. Coined the term "sack"

I haven't known much of him seeing as how I'm only 24, but I strongly recommend to everyone to listen to the last 2 Rich Eisen podcasts. They had some great stuff.
