I was wondering if anyone would have any idea of the best way to contact a player on the Jets. Would I just send a letter addressed to the player at giants stadium? I ask because 2 years ago at training camp I met Kerry Rhodes by the Jets dorm at Hofstra, probably the nicest player on the team. He signed my yearbook and I started joking with him how he sucked big time in Madden 06. I knew he would know what I was referring to because I saw a quote by him in the paper saying "Yea, in Madden 06 I have a 59 awareness, I am basically like a chicken running around with its head cut off." I told him that I would play with him a lot in Madden and work on improving his ratings. As he walked away I asked him if I came tomorrow to practice if he could give me his gloves. Sure enough I go there the next day and he drives his car to the dorm and had the gloves in his trunk for me, brand new gloves from under armour. I just wanted to send a letter to him wishing him the best and letting him know that the gloves are helping me pick off a lot of passes. This guy is a great person, but as we know he has also become a very solid player as well.
good story. This guy seems to be not only a great player but a great person. He has become a leader on our defense (with Vilma of course), and will hopefully be making plays for us for a long time.
No. Send it to this address: New York Jets 1000 Fulton Avenue Hempstead, NY 11550 I have a phone number if you want it. I won't post it because I did that once before and someone had a cow. PM me if you want the number.
send it to their Hofstra complex. however your best odds of him actually reading it is probably handing it to the security guard at the gate...
really cool story...makes you feel good about players especially with all the stories of selfishness you hear everyday. little side bar, a friend of a friend was dining out and happened to be in the same restaurant as Palumalu (excuse the spelling). anyway he was with his wife having dinner and no one bothered them. at the end of his meal he stood up and asked the place for his attention and explained that it was his first time ever dining out without being interrupted. then he said i'd like to pick up everyone's tab this evening and told everyone if they wanted any pictures or autographs that he'd be at the front of the restaurant. I though that was a great story as well.
I would send an actual hand written or typed letter via snail mail. It has 10 times the impact that an email would. Great story.
wow thats amazing. i love pro's that are just down to earth guys. too bad most are ignorant and full of themselves
Send it to that address. I believe all the players have mailbox's like any other work place that employs many people..don't call..I'll bet he will appriciate the letter!!
