I LOVE the Raiders. They're such a wonderful bunch of misfits. Randy's looking like Aunt Esther from Sanford & Son these days. Art looking like he's waiting for Chinese food to be delivered, and doesn't know what to do with himself in the mean time. Wears that hat way up high so everyone thinks he has a bigger brain than he does. I'm in a good place right now.
People so quick to bash Lamont. Do you see this garbage Line?? What is it 5 sacks already? There is no way he can run behind that crap of a line.... Also, is it just me or is this trio of commentators WAAaaaaay Better than Theisman and his crew??? Brad Nessler, Ron Jaworski and Dick Vermil sound like guys who actually Love football.
I think that the biggest threat to the Chargers at this point is that they're deep into Martyball now. I know Rivers is starting his first game, but they haven't tried a pass for more than a yard or two since there were 10 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Of course, the Raider offense is SO bad that it might not matter.
It's actually been a pleasure to listen to Vermeil and Jaworski do the game, with that other play by play man who's a straight shooter as well.

So true, and this is where Jeaux will get his ammunition this week. He's going to come here telling us all about how the young, exciting defense was. . . well. . . young and exciting. And, he may even have stats to back that up. All because Schotzy is into full-blown Marty Ball. Meanwhile, is there such a thing as Arty Ball?
Man, I just watched Gallery get pancaked. Legitimately, and not just some weak-ass, off-balance, slip. He was pushed straight over onto his back.
I loved seeing Rivers complete the bomb and get hit by Sapp...Rivers said something and Sapp had a hissy fit...
What an awful, embarassing game for the Raiders. Aaron Brooks is their leading passer and rusher...with 95 combined yards.
Well, I'm glad to see that Rivers was actually allowed to throw the ball on that last series. I don't think you have to worry too much about stats to back up anything positive for the Raiders in this game. They've allowed a first-time starter to get 300 yards of total offense against them, and the defense have quit like dogs in the fourth quarter. And on offense, this performance ranks with the worst I've ever seen - they're averaging fewer than 5 plays per series, and that includes the fourth down punts.
