temper your expectations...This team really needed that win Sunday for us to be feeling good about this series.

We are shit on offense and coaching is a primary reason

You really think the coaches tell them to prance around the perimeter of the offensive zone and lob in un screend shots on goal and no one go to the net? and when on the PP, keep passing around the puck deliberately until you cough it up?

Again i didn't see the game Saturday (thank god), but 24 shots on goal and a shut out against as well as my knowldege of how this team has played some games this year tell me this is what happened. I know they had a few posts.

but yeah not optimistic, watching a lot of the playoff games around the league and I'd say the Rangers and Canadiens look like the worst.

We have the personnel to be scoring alot of goals...This lack of consistency has more to do with our preparation and adjustments then our talent.

On paper we are one of the best teams in the league...I have to think Torts has not helped our case at all and he needs to be fired if we cannot get this corrected. I swear if Mike Sullivan is on this team next year I will rage.

I have a feeling Staal is in tonight. Home game, familiar surroundings, Torts can dictate the match ups for when to put Staal out with the home change, and let's face it, they're desperate. I have no inside info on it, but something about him skipping the media session peaks my curiosity.

All kidding aside, how is this guy still on this team THIS year?!?! I mean, with al the arguing we do in this thread about what is best for this team, does anyone here want to defend Sullivan still being associated with the Rangers in any way?

Staal is to valuable a player for the long-term to be rushed back. I'd rather get swept in this series than win the series and lose Staal for his career.

Sullivan is apparently a favorite for the Tampa and BU job.

    Please GTFO Sullivan

I agree with you!The answer is quite simple though. He's Torts' boyfriend.

Left practice early Tommy, which usually means he's playing we will see, was at the Garden at lunchtime, stage setup, lights all over the place, they are closing 33rd st. for a zamboni race...LGR!!!

I'm no Dr. but i don't think Staal in in danger of a career threatening injury if he comes back too early.........I think the risk is more not being comfortable and able to play at the proper level in a playoff intense environment, and thus being a liability on the ice as opposed to an asset.

If he comes back he will play 3rd pair minutes, but it will ease the burden on Danny G and McD

I like Torts but you can't win when the puck is in your zone for a minute at a time, you have to attack, you have the vezina trophy winner in net, force the forecheck, their defensemen aren't anything special

in my typical dark sider outlook, i see the Rangers coming out and getting a 2-0 lead in this game and somehow blowing it in the 3rd........and having to sweat out another OT game.....leading to a heartbreaking, more or less season ending loss.

see how I keep the bar dramatically low.....talk about expecting the worst.

    I have problems
