I'm definitely pulling for him, he seems like a great kid. Loved to see his genuine smile when his dream of making it came true last April.
Didn't go home? Obviously can't catch a flight or ride back home either! I loved the pick last year, and rookie WRs tend to be not great. He was open a lot last year, but Sanchez ignored him after the NE drop. The main thing I think he has to work on is actually his feet. He doesn't set his feet up well to catch it seems, which creates awkward angles for him to catch the ball with his hands. I think he improves a ton this year, and could be our No. 1 WR by midseason.
Seems like a great guy, has skills, great athlete and I'm rooting for him 110%. But his drops cost his team last season. Obviously his OT drop against the patsies led pretty much directly to losing a game we should have won. Disasterous - is the best adjective for that error. Hope he can figure out how to be a clutch ball catcher rather than a nervous nellie when the game is on the line. It doesn't matter how great an athlete he is - if he drops balls he needs to ride the pine.
Relax. We knew he was a raw rookie and would take longer to develop. That plus a shitty offense in total and an injury will make for the kind of season he had. Can't drop balls when you're open though.
thats a nice article... i would love to hear about how he wore out the juggs machine by catching 500 balls a day... with his hands.
There was one TD he had that was shown from three different camera angles. Does that count as three TD's?
The Kid stayed all winter long didnt go home has been training hard learning the play book and sacrificed for the better of the team and people still complain. Thats the type of player I want on the team he is showing by example. Instead of SOJ It should be SOF(Same Ole Fans)
wouldnt soj fans say something like oh well this guy sucks.. jets suck... why do we even play... im pretty sure that saying that its a nice article and that we hope he works on the thing that he did poorly last year would be us hoping, wanting almost fucking begging for him to get better... not us hating on him or giving up on him.... i mean if you are going to call someone a derogatory name lets at least do it correctly.
Love his attitude but he has a long way to go. We never saw anything close to 4.3 speed lest year instead he looked like a new born calf that hasn't figured out how to use his legs yet. We need big improvement from him.
Lots of guys with great hands that cant get separation. The problem, is talent sometimes trumps skill prior to getting to the NFL. You can refine a guys catching technique. Parcells was relentless teaching Keyshawn to make sure he got two feet down, when they drafted him,
To me it's like everything feels brand new about the team from the front office to the coaches to the players. New offense possibly new defense with a bunch of new players. We rid the locker room of majority of the cancer and though we may not be in the Super Bowl we've done a complete turn around and we aren't a Circus anymore. I think we will surprise a lot of people and be a contender this year much sooner then they thought. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl/news/20130502/jets-cut-davis-harris-marijuana.ap/?sct=uk_t2_a10 This article shows we have changed and we won't tolerate nonsense
I can't wait. I'm a fan of Hill's, we all knew he was a project when he came in because he's from a team that ran the ball most of the time. he'll fit perfect in a WCO.
He just needs to learn how to go down...he's fighting too much for yardage with too many guys draped on him...take what you can and move on to the next play, see Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt
