Many on the shoulder... he cannot take a season of that. O-Line needs to pick up blitzes better. But in any case /cheers!!! on the nice win, they could have folded late but they showed heart.

Every one of them my stomach got into knots, this is the way its going to be until he can can play a full season. Every hit, every Jets fan will be holding their breath.

If he's going to play QB in the NFl he's oing to have to take alot of hits. I don't think he got hit much more than a typical game but 1 play in particular I think saved him. It was the penalty on D'Brick, if he doesn't hold that Titan player Chad takes the exact hit that knocked him out last year and he fumbles and we likely lose 3 pts. We "lost" the TD on the penalty but if there isn't one we likely lose the ball and would have been holding our breath over Chad.

No, he won't. If the Jet's schemes work right he'll probably take 3 or fewer hits a game. But in order for that to work the line has to step up its play to the next level.

The Jets run a short passing game that is designed to have the ball out of the pocket in 2 to 3 seconds. If Pennington is getting hit on more than a few plays a game then something is breaking down in the blitz and stunt coverages.

I think Pennington is a marked man and that we're going to lose him at some point this season, but it won't be to an overabundance of hard hits, it'll be to an unlucky one.

We need to get the running game going. If the jets are forced to throw as often as we had to yesterday, Chad could have another short season.

Personally, I think him taking hits and getting up from them is a good sign. I think the hits (assuming they don't injure him) tend to toughen the shoulder up, not weaken it.

I think a lot of injuries (though clearly not all) happen during first / initial contact. I bet if someone did a study, there would be the most injuries in preseason, then game 1, then game2, etc., decreasing as the season goes along.

Hm...that's an interesting view. That makes sense though. Someone should do that study!

this is football a qb is gonna take hits no matter how good his oline is. dlinemen intentionally take shots at the qb with or without the ball as long as it close enough so he doesnt get roughing the passer and dlineman can get hit in chad will get hit.. where just gonna have to hold our breath everytime hit takes a hard shot like yesterday.
