It seems that would be a good hire.
The Past GM's seem to struggle with player personnel..
    I HOPE Idsik doesn't.
It also seems he is leaning on Rex.
We know that is not a good idea. I like Rex but he had a huge hand in the lack of talent on this roster.

Probably. No idea why Bradway has survived two coaching changes.

cause he is the only guy who has personnel experience. like reese and accorsi with the giants. browns brought back mike lombardi, and paoli is still out there , along with sundquist.

Unfortunately I don't think there are just a bunch of NFL caliber player personnel gurus sitting around waiting for a call. The good ones are on teams, beating paid to do their job and not answer the phone when it rings.

Jesus christ where do you guys come up with this stuff? How did you determine that John is "leaning" on Rex for player personnel issues?

Don't you think that Revis would still be here if he was "leaning" on Rex Ryan for player personnel issues?

The past, is the past! John Idzik is the new GM. He's not Mike Tannenbaum!

John will make the final decision on personal issues! I'm not saying that the Coaches will not have any input. However, the GM will make the final decision! Unless the Coach is the GM/Coach.

We had a solid draft, move on...

I don't know why people keep saying he is just a cap specialist. If I remember correctly even though Idzik's most recent job was to do the cap he has in the past done personnel work.

    People don't go research

Were the same fan base who hated every pick we made and called them busts and the only fan base that goes to the draft to boo our players

We have Plenty of NFL caliber personnel gurus on this website. I mean all you gotta do is make selections based off the mock drafts on the draft forum.

We should give Idzik a chance to bring in his guys before we look at bringing in someone else to evaluate talent. I do agree that Rex should have very little input on personnel decisions. I believe his stubbornness and his ego get in the way of his decisions.

Qft. While everyone complains about Rex or Idzik or Tannenbaum, Bradway is the quiet, persistent cancer that has plagued this organization for too long now.

Maybe he is actually good at his job?

We just finished a pretty solid draft so maybe the person executing the draft - The GM - is probably better than his last 2 predecessors? Just because Bradway sucked as a GM doesn't mean he is a terrible at player personnel. Tanny was pulling the trigger and doing the trade moves.

and your experience and credibility in evaluating player personnel decisions, and thus having the insight to determine whether Idzik needs assistance, is what?

No. We hired Idzik and he just had a great draft and has been making the decisions that he was hired to make. I don't agree w/everything he does or everything Mr. T did - that is just the nature of the game. Deal w/it.
