    What's to know about him?

All I honestly know is that he's from Brooklyn and went to my friends High School.

Building a team starts with OL, DL, & QB. So I can't complain with drafting more OL.

Welcome to the Jets family Mr. Aboushi. We are taking a lot of versatile guys.

D'Brick outta take Oday under his wings for obvious reasons.

This guy was pretty good this season for Virginia. I had him slated around the 3-4th round, so this is a solid pick in the 5th. They will probably switch him to RT or even move him inside.

I like how Idzik and crew are getting guys that have some flexibility.

It may not be exciting, but we really needed this type of draft. No more guys starting due to a complete lack of talent and depth on the oline. We've signed two guards, drafted two guys who were tackles expect to compete at guard, and still have Ducasse in the wings. We have not had this type of depth in awhile along the Oline.

    ^+1 Correct.

Kind of interesting that many folks don't seem to understand this. You build a football team from the inside out. The NYJ are not a complete rebuild but the IDZ diagnosis was: the OL needs repair, QB needs replacement, RB needs replacement.

    DL needed significant improvement.

Pretty Impressive to see this plan developing in the draft.

BTW the other message of this draft is that RR is the HC going forward - Fwiw - I completely agree - RR is the best NYJ HC in decades.

Well, I think carrying five centers would be a little too much.

Then again, that's not even one per QB on the roster, so never mind. :breakdance:

We are now set on both the d and o lines. I like this draft.

We could start Smith and let our other QB's play O-line, hahahaha. Though I expect Tebow and either Garrard or McElroy to get cut in the next few days.

Like the pick. He's a project w/upside. Colon, Ducasse, Winters, Peterman and Aboushi - Depth and competition on the OL.

DG aint getting cut, why cut somebody you just signed? especially when he's meant to be the veteran option to your assortment?

this was alright, At least the line is dealt with. Now can we get a TE or WR please?

Tebow, Simms, and The ginger should be on the chopping block. I think we play out this year with Garrard on the roster. He's a pros pro and will help shape Geno into an NFL QB. I don't see mark getting released unless he's beat out for the job. Tis will turn into an Alex Smith/Kapernick type situation. Mark may start for a year before losing the job. It makes good sense both from a competition and cap standpoint.

Da'Rick Rogers is still available, seems like the best receiving option left, if he falls to us.

Good versatile pick up. Losing Slauson doesn't matter as much, but who is the backup C?

    Nice value pick!

A Palestinian from Brooklyn, no less. And from a football family. On NFL.com he grades higher than both Winters and the Giants #1, Pugh. Versatile, played the tackle positions at UVA and started as a Freshman. I like what I see.

Being from Brooklyn, I hope he's pumped to be a Jet. Good pick Idzik.
