I was a big Revis fan, but no more. He's moved on, largely do to his ridiculous asking price, so i need to move on as well.
I'll be rooting for him 4 times ... against The Pats, Dolphins, Bills and Ravens. Other than that, I don't care if he gives up 100 yards and 3 TD's in every other game on the schedule.
I want to win the trade, so again no another reason I will not be cheering him. Meaning Revis's play should dictate if this trade was a win for us along with who we get. $16 million my ass. But I do hope his team beats the other AFC East turds
do you follow and root for every player the Jets draft and then leaves for another team? if not, why would Revis be any different?
YES! I will be cheering for him to FAIL on his new contract with NO guarantees because he is a greedy pig.
His name gets kicked around a lot with Hall of Fame. He had a pretty special run with the Jets throughout his tenure.
I'd love for him to fail. Rex stays here and a year or two from now, he decides he needs Rex's system and Idzik signs him for a long term cheaper deal
I just hope he isn't ready to play in game 1. I hope he's successful and I will be rooting for him. I do feel he's a little over payed now, and it's a shame he had to leave, but he was a luxury. The Bucs will be much better with him. I think Revis makes them a contender. The main thing that held them back last year was the passing defense. I'll root for him, as long as it doesn't conflict with the Jets, kind of how I root for the Nuggets because of the bunch of ex knicks. Knicks are still the primary favorite team, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Nuggets make the finals.
Since his success means that our third rounder could be lower next year, I will not be rooting for him.
I'll be fine if Revis does well and fine if he does poorly. I guess the only statement I can make is that I will not be actively rooting against Revis. As I said in the Revis thread, NFL players have a right to get every last penny our of their careers and I don't fault him for that. I am kind of hoping that he doesn't live up to this 16 million dollar contract just to see what happens in a couple years when the Bucs realize they can't afford to pay a "good" but not "incredible" cornerback 16 million dollars a year.
I'm not saying that it would become a fourth rounder, I'm talking about WHERE we pick in the third round. Am I wrong?
No way I would ever root for the greedy so and so! Hope he drops his bulging wallet on his foot! But at least we can laugh at his hold-outs in the future.
assuming his success helps TB win more games and win in the playoffs it will move to down in that round but his success wouldn't make our 3rd rounder a 4th rounder.
