I assume that, given two identical deals, Revis would've taken the one from the NYJ.

Lmao "we need to save the money for the QB of our dreams".....

You can't just buy one, and if you draft one he won't cost shit for four years. Revis has nothing to do with getting a QB. He didnt land you one and he wouldn't have prevented you from getting one.

No but Revis prevents you from signing a bunch of other players in the future. He also is a luxury on a team that doesn't need it. It would be like living in a house without electricity, plumbing, or central air/heat. Yeah keeping that 50 inch TV you won and is being repaired currently would be awesome, but there some priorities that need to be addressed first. Oh trading that 50 inch TV can help the plumbing system, go for it. It's like buying a car and not having a license yet and knowing when you can get one. Yeah the car looks awesome in your garage, but when can you use it to it's extent?

So you think the Jets should have paid him $16 million/year?

Personally, I wanted Revis to stay. However, he wanted more money and we know that Revis is greedy. Hence, he chose to take more money instead of accepting a paycut and stay with the Jets. In the end, it may work out for the Jets since they'll get more picks in the draft.

How many games has Revis missed bc of injury? and what were the injuries?

Revis, has the all around talent to be a future Hall of fame member; if and when he can remain healthy. Last year he had a concussion during the first game, was out 2 weeks, came back and destroyed his knee. This boy is gifted, but he is also carries one of the smallest frames on the field.

I know he has not missed a lot of games, but football is a sport that keeps coming after you; only the strongest survive. Time will tell, who lost and who won on this trade. Logically, I think we made the best of a bad situation.

HELL NO. Revis may be the best corner ever, but the marginal difference between him and another top-level corner ala Cromartie is not worth jamming 13% of your payroll into a freaking DB.

Bye Revis, thanks for the fun.

    Several, Hamstring.

And dont forgetthe fake hamstring during his previous holdout.

Which is what he would have done, if we kept him...dont think Idzik didnt consoder that.

    Google 'Revis Hamstring'

MM should make Hill run long routes all day week one. If Revis isnt on Hill, hes on Holmes, and TBs other corner, isnt a great cover guy, if Revis is on him, hes not a 4.36 guy.

P.S. Revis called a Hammy going up against Randy Moss...now Hill isnt in the same universe, but,he is really effing fast....and Revis was cagey about week one, when a few weeks ago....he was 'ahead of schedule'...

Hill, tests his hamstring with speed...Holmes makes him run through trash in the moddle, which is how he got hurt last year.

    His confidence is shot. /sanchezbs.

Revis wasn't worth half that coming off an ACL injury. TB just got lucky that no Guaranteed cash was involved.

Whats amusing is none of the alleged sports journalists in discussing the trade, are calling out Revis' phantom hammy in 2010 when he was unhappy.

Does anyone wirh a mind believe he would not pull that faced with playing for 6M?
