http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/12/showbiz/jonthan-winters-death/index.html Farewell to a genius, the scene where he destroys the garage in Its a Mad mad mad mad world is a classic...
One of the few guys that could talk for about 5 minutes straight without really saying anything and have a crowd rolling in the aisles.
Indeed a genius - great "Mad Mad" call matt robnison17. The end portion of his TV "Jonathan Winters Show" would sometimes feature Winters going into the audience with an audience member suggesting a scene or scenario for Winters to act out impromptu. This one time a guy in the audience suggested that Winters use his wallet as a 'puppet' to carry on a conversation/skit with. Winters immediately goes into thug mode and tells the guy to hand over HIS wallet whereupon Winters pulls out his own wallet (both back pocket "fold over" types) and proceeds to engage in a 3-way conversation with himself and the 2 wallets. Doesn't sound like much but I'll never forget how he pulled it off, magnificently. R.I.P. Jonathan Winters .... and Elwood P. Suggins, B.B. Bindlestiff and Lance Loveguard.
