Looks interesting. I like District 9 and this is by the same guy so might be something I would like. Definitely resembles Halo, Mass Effect, etc.

I might give it a view. Looks like it would be worth the time.

Ok this may be weird...I just saw this in imax with my gf and I got pretty emotional. Very strange, I haven't felt like that during a movie in so many years.

It is one of my favorite movies ever....Matt Damon was fantastic, and Sharlto Copley is the villain of the year. Star of the movie is the visuals and Neil Blomkamp the director

I gotta agree with you. I did get pretty emotional towards the end. I really enjoyed it and thought it was well done. I was left with a few unanswered questions, but overall, definitely worth seeing in theaters, and will be buying the bluray

Great movie. They definitely ripped off the Citadel in Mass Effect though...

I just saw it and liked it, but I wish it was longer. So much more stuff they could have done.

I agree with you. I would have loved more background information and I wish they spent more time on the mythology. It was a very interesting world and I would have loved if they spent extra time showing how/why things are the way they are. I guess it's better than being too long and dragging on, I suppose

With the way Hollywood is now, I wouldn't be surprised if they made another one if the box office numbers are good. I'd rather they leave it alone since I loved the movie and sequels usually ruin the overall experience if they aren't necessary (which it isn't in this case). However, a prequel will work better here IMO.

I felt the same way during District 9...So much more could be explored in these worlds. The concept is great, I think I also read somewhere that he had a rough cut of 3 hours for the film. No idea if there is any truth to that.

I will be following Neil Blomkamp's career from now on closely.
