Actually Aikman's skill set did regress later in his career due to repeated concussions which eventually led to his premature retirement from the game. The 89-96 Aikman was much different than he was later in his career. Also even if you give Sanchez all of those weapons that Aikman had he would still be a mediocre QB. The reason being is he has zero accuracy. Even Alvin Harper and Irvin wouldn't be able to jump high enough, go low enough or reach behind them to catch his off target passes.

Bottom line is you either have "it" or you don't. Sanchez has never had "it". His window of opportunity has passed. It's time to move on as he's not the answer.

I'm sure he had a "great week of practice".

Aikman had one of the best offensive lines and running games in the NFL during his prime. We saw with a strong offensive line and running game how Sanchez performed much better - helped us get to two AFCCGs. It's not all about statistics, it's about winning at the end of the day, and no one was complaining about Mark when the Jets beat the Pats in Foxboro in that playoff game. Even both AFCCGs, Mark played well, where-as others may fold.

Holmes isn't the tallest of WRs and Holmes had some decent games with Mark throwing to him. Mark had "it". The window passed because of the lack of talent the offense has all together. Everything you could do wrong with developing QBs, the Jets pretty much did.

Four road playoff wins says otherwise. You act like he is ten year vet he is/was a QB with limited college experience that was forced to start way before he was ready. Not only that but his weapons have gotten worse the past two years and he is only going into his fifth season.

The guy is not 35 he is 26 why is it so hard to believe he can improve? If he can fix the turnovers especially the fumbles Sanchez will be fine. He is young he can still get a lot better.

The QB salaries are shy rocketing and Rodgers is about to become the highest paid player in history so very bad analogy.

Well, only if you support the Lilly Ledbetter act.

Please ro compare Sanchez ro Rodgers Is Ludicrous. Rodgers got to sit for three years behind Favre and get coached by McCarthy.

    Sanchez got Schottenheimer.

The only thing you got is 4 road playoff wins. You act as if he brings all of these great intangibles that the top tier QB's bring with them.

You say he's only in his 5th year. Most mediocre QB's only get two years to improve in today's NFL. He has gone backwards over the last 2 years. But according to you, it's everyone's fault except his. He's a horrible NFL QB. How about we place a friendly wager? I say if Sanchez starts that his stats are still bottom 10 of any starter in the league.

And don't give me any excuse about the lack of players around him. He has a new OC and according to you and others, this alone will make him a much better QB.

So I say even with the new OC that he still has awful stats(bottom 10) and doesn't win more than 6 games if he starts the entire year. Wanna bet that he does better than this?

    Del Frisco's $100 gift certificate.

Again, Sanchez has to start all 16 regular season games as I stated. If he does start all 16 games, then he has to finish no lower than 21 in the league in all of the major statistical categories. He also needs to have at least 7 wins. If he does all of these things then I'll gladly honor my end.

Yet if he finishes between 22 and 32 in all of the major categories (Comp. % and Turnovers most importantly) and he wins 6 games or less then you need to pay up.

No 16 starts no bet. Cool.

    Over 7 wins. Cool.

Well, here you say major categories, lets stick with comp % and turnovers.

    Agreed....?

I'm willing to give Sanchez another shot just because I believe that all his issues are because a lack of confidence.

    Simple as that.

Are you five? nahah want a bet?

Again, wins are are a team stat but I will make you eat crow if Sanchez starts more than 10 games next season his numbers will not be bottom 10 of the league.

The only one eating crow will be you. 10 games? Like I said, he has to start 16 games. The fact that you think Sanchez is any good is laughable.
