Okay, so we all talk about the first round. So after looking through things and seeing where players are likely to fall in terms of rounds and researching things a little bit (yes there are a few players I'll list that will raise some eyebrows). there are a couple of players who might go in the first, but overall they are players that should be available after the 1st.

After this list will be 3 mock drafts. for the purists the first mock only includes a revis trade (which I'm certain will happen, though not sure for what). The second mock is a little more trade involved but is still a reasonable possibility (REvis trade and 3 trade downs).

and the last is an all out blow it up and very unlikely mock, but it's fun to do. But I will say that all the deals make sense for the teams involved, but they are extremely unlikely to actually occur, though I wouldn't be shocked if one or two of them did happen in a similar fashion.

so there you have it, purists can skip everythng after the first mock (well actually you can just not read this at all, but hey you read this far!).

First the players that I like by position, in no particular order.

straight draft with likely trade options
Jets trade Revis to the Buccanneers for a 2nd, 4th, and 2014 1st. (SFO and ATL were bidding as well)
Non descript trade down that nets a 2 and 4.

    1 Alex Okafor OLB
    2 Larry Warford OG
    2 Tyler Bray QB
    2 Darius Slay CB
    3 Da'Rick Rogers WR
    4 Knile Davis RB
    4 Dallas Thomas OG/OT
    4 Marquess Wilson WR
    5 Kwame Geathers DT
    6 Cris Gragg TE
    7 Marcus Davis WR/TE

    Reasonable trades
Jets trade Revis to the Buccanneers for a 2nd, 4th, and 2014 1st. (SFO and ATL were bidding as well)
Jets trade down from #9 to #12 Dolphins make want long and he'll be gone. Jets get 1/12 and the dolphins 3/15
Jets trade down to Vikings #23. Get 1,2,4 and 5th round picks. Why? bidding war for Tavon Austin who's still on the board
at #12. Vikings still have another 1st round pick.
Jets trade down one last time from 23 to 30. also get 3rd and 5th.

    1 Alex Okafor OLB
    2 Darius Slay CB
    2 Tyler Bray QB
    2 Larry Warford OG
    3 Biccarri Rambo S

    5 Kwame Geathers DT
    5 Chris Gragg TE

all out, all deals make sense for the teams involved but are very unlikely to occur in total, though parts wouldn't surprise me.
Jets trade Revis to the Buccanneers for a 2nd, 4th, and 2014 1st. (SFO and ATL were bidding as well)
jets trade Mark Sanchez +5m to Cardinals for 6th rounder

Jets trade Harris +5M to chiefs for 4th and 5th round pick. (jets wanted 3rd if paying 5M of salary but this was compromise)

Jets trade down from #9 to #12 Dolphins make want long and he'll be gone. Jets get 1/12 and the dolphins 3/15

Bray in the 2nd would be awful. His off-the-field concerns coupled with his atrocious footwork and pocket presence make him at best a 4th rounder

I'll disagree with that of course, but honestly of all the QB's in the draft he's got a huge upside..of course a high bust potential as well, and if only had 1 second I probably wouldn't but with 2 or more 2nd's I would.

I promise you on draft day he'll be gone no later than the upper 3rd, and probably by the end of the 2nd.

no Menelik Watson in any of your mocks makes me sad.

    - Revis to TB for 2013 2/4 and 2014 1.
    - Carolina trades up to 9 overall. we get 14 overall and a 2/4

    1. Chance Warmack
    2. Menelik Watson
    2. DeAndre Hopkins
    2. Jamie Collins
    3. Travis Kelce
    4. Mike Gillislee
    4. Tony Jefferson
    4. Terry Hawthorne
    5. Chase Thomas
    6. Braxston Cave
    7. Sean Renfree

we solidify our OLine. add a few pass rushers and a new crop of offensive skill players. also some new secondary to compensate for the loss of Revis.

11 picks in one 15 picks in another 23 picks in the last mean while we trade everybody on our team away? I foresee that being a very long and painful season plus putting us in Cap Hell eventually

Well to be honest yes, 11 picks in the lowest, then again the Jets have their full compliment of 7, so that's only a gain of 4 picks. 2 from Revis and 2 from moving down, that's not at all unreasonable.

The last scenario, as I stated, would have about the same chances of happening as being struck by lightening twice, and surviving both of them. It was strictly for fun, although I could see any one of the deals actually occuring, but even one of those latter deals would be unlikely.

The middle deal, eh if the trade downs were there and the players fell just right to entice teams to trade up could happen, but again not real likely as things would have to fall just right in this years draft.

Actually the last deal would put the Jets in clear and easy street cap wise, it's unlikely that everyone drafted, or even more than 2 or 3 would go on to demand prime salaries. The last scenario is really just about clearing the books and starting basically from scratch in 2014 the books would be clear of any big contracts outside of Mangolds and Ferguson's. But the team would stink in the 2013 season. On the plus side that would mean a prime pick (or two if the buc's sucked) in a very loaded first round draft in 2014.

In addition to the other insanity here, you can't trade cash in the NFL like you can in baseball or basketball. In addition none of what you did makes no sense even if you could. The largest draft classes in a year are 10-12 picks, I would bet the largest class in history is less than 20 picks, probably 17 I'd bet.

I said, clearly, the last was unrealistic and was strictly for fun...period. But of course that'sthe one everyone focuses on.

the 49ers this year have 15 picks. The record though is probably around 17 or 18, maybe less. Like I said, that was a just for fun and was included last so people could skip over it.

I think it's interesting that people choose to focus on that rather than the first which is somewhat realistic as it only includes the Revis deal and one trade down. Tell me that's not realistic if Revis gets dealt.

To the other poster who says you can't trade cash.

It's true you cant trade cash directly to the other team, but you can pay a portion of a players salary due that season as part of the deal, it's done all the time with the money being paid counting against the trading teams CAP. Learn the rules before criticizing. For example in the Tebow trade the Jets paid the Bronco's, in essence, 2.53 Million to Denver for the Salary advance the Bronco's had given Tebow. There is nothing in the rules that disallows paying a porition of a players salary for the following season as part of a trade, it's done fairly often in trades. Although I should have worded that better, but then again I didn't spend a lot of time on that portion because it was a just for fun flip.

Again, if you want to criticize something, criticize the first draft which I posted as the most realistic and for the purists....if you want to criticize something that I stated that I included just for fun, well kiss my....
