I actually believe that rebuilding like this can actually allow for Sanchez to improve. It will be to a degree low pressure and no one will be expecting him to win, while still forcing him to win the starting job. He may surprise us (probably won't but who knows)

I agree with this methodology we are currently, fixing the trenches, shoring up the depth on oline and dline with proven capable players. These signees are not starters, except for rb Goodson, take that into consideration. This off season has begun, and we are not acting desperate for the big name free agent is a plus. I love the fact we got Cro, and Holmes to restructure. Possibly Harris can restructure if needed for a must have free agent also. Tebow will be off the roster soon. There is lots of competition developing in Floram park, and that usually leads to a hungry football team like we were in Rex's first year. As a Jet fan we must have confidence in Rexs defense no doubt it will be a top 7 defense. So if we look at health that should fix itself, off coordinator already stated he will play to players strengths, play makers dept got better with Goodson and well pick another Wr/TE, and finally qb in this system will do well history says. I agree with these two gentlemen in this thread. For what Idzik has to work with, he is doing a great job coming in here. So far, nothing he has done has given me a RED FLAG or a "WTF" moment. I'm anxious for the draft. I'm feeling realy good about my team. I don't think we will be as bad as we were last year, I think our offense will actually be competant and will put up more then 13 point. (one touch down and two field goals per game or whatever we did during games last year)
he is a 10 year veteran with only 138 tackles and 9 sacks, He really is a stop gap DT and not a good one

Stop gap guy who's just gonna split some duties over @ NT. He's definitely qualified to fulfill this role. Also: It's not fair to judge NT on stats. Since its one of those jobs where you can dominate but still walk away with a near empty stat sheet. Don't know if it's possible to bring him in with Rex as coach. Bad blood between those two. Think Rex even mentioned him negatively in his book.
Yes. That is true. Rex and his big mouth... And remember Rhodes got revenge on us when we played zona last year with a pic in the first drive and I think one later on. Still anything is possible in the NFL
