Bringing back Landry makes sense. I think the Jets will do this and draft another safety to replace Bell. Plus we have Allen and Bush still. Hopefully they can take the next step.

Landry is actually worth 6 million.

Revis is NOT worth 16 million. No way.

If we trade Revis we can probably bring back Landry and DeVito, two guys we can't lose. Maybe Bell too.

Sources: The @NFL salary cap has been sent to clubs. It is set at $123 million. Up from $120.6M

Trading Revis really has nothing to do with cap space. It has to do with Revis using 2013 to rehab and rebuild his reputation and then skating to the highest bidder.

I don't think we'll be in any better position to pay a DB $15-$20M next year or even the year after. Bottom line, Revis is 99% gone after his 16 game rehab on the Jets dime.

So, at least get a chicken sandwich for him now if we can.

Even if we COULD afford to pay Landry $6M+ this year with Revis slated to only get $6M himself, we definitely could NOT afford to keep paying Landry $6M+ after Revis jumps to $15M+.

    I'd rather have 3 Landry's than 1 Revis.

More than I expected. That 3M could be enough to bring back Landry.

Made the prediction on his contract last year and got it right, so I'll try this again.

    5 years/ 31.5 million, 15 mil in guarantees.

I've been waiting to hear this news, and I think this is the smart move. He likes the organization, he likes rex, we still had a good secondary last year without Revis due largely in part to Landry.

It would be nice to be able to keep Bell, also. I don't see him getting big $.

This draft is really good when it comes to Safety. If Jets are willing to use a mid rounder, they have solid chance to draft a rookie good enough to play with Landry & enter next season with very solid Safety duo.

Not sure if it'll happen but I'd like to see Jets draft one safety & bring back either Landry or Bell (preferably Landry even though he'll cost more).

Yeah I'd like Bell too, and he wouldn't cost too much, but if rather have someone else starting over him. Maybe have him in the Eric Smith packages unless he's clearly better than one of the young guys we drafted last year or a new one this year.

If we don't sign him...I would love to see Matt Elam drafted by us if he falls to the 2nd round. I think he actually plays like Landry... Landry and Elam would be sick together actually.
