Anyone interested for depth purposes, if the price is right? http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2013/02/25/eagles-cut-loose-dl-jenkins-patterson/
I want young depth with upside. I'm tired of Jets rosters cobbled together with almost enough talent but with all of it pulling in different directions, making the transitions between windows really frustrating. If Sanchez had more people of his own era on the Jets when he came in the story might have been much different. The guy he has had the best results with was Dustin Keller, a guy drafted the year before him and very similar in age and outlook.
I think veteran depth could be a good thing considering how young both Wilkerson and Coples are... Not saying Cullen Jenkins necessarily, but some depth will likely be needed since I don't see DeVito returning. The need for veteran depth would seem to be greater if Sione Pouha is cut or traded.
He's a liability in the run game. Good at rushing the passer though. Rather spend the money elsewhere
he wont be cheap. crazy how eagles are considering dropping ASS-o-mugha if he doesn't renegotiate his contract, that should help us leverage signing Revis. it's not worth tying up so much money in a CB
Pass on Cullen he isnt a horrible player.. but like the rest above me stated we need younger players with a bright future example; Mo.Wilk,Coples,Kerley,Davis. Imo last years defensive picks were pretty well chosen.
This team needs to get younger so it can compete on a consistent basis. I'm not opposed to adding some vets that come at good value and can contribute, but I'm not sure Jenkins is where we should be spending what little $ we have.
I'd rather re sign Devito. Knows the play book, good leader and locker room guy and underrated player.
+1 I am not opposed to adding in a couple vets to our young nucleus.....however I rather take Devito back over signing Jenkins if given the option. Sent from my LG-P999
