No surprise - Bart Scott's a goner Here's the link https://twitter.com/nyjets/status/303949820354232320 Will see if I can find something else further to substantiate.
This should also help with salary cap issues. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...nebacker-bart-scott-released-by-new-york-jets
 Buffalo is so bad on defense they are pumped at the thought of adding Eric Smith and Bart Scott. That is funny. I would take a cap-friendly deal on Pace maybe, but forget the rest of those guys.
Pumped? I like Scott for his attitude/leadership, not so much for his play. He's a 2 down LB at this point in his career. What Buffalo doesn't have on defense is a veteran presence, a leader. That's why I would advocate bringing Scott in. Not necessarily what he brings on the field. We will need some sort of backup 3rd or 4th safety. Smith knows Pettine's system and should be a good special teamer. What's the problem with that?
That is a good point. I didn't think about Pettine being there now. They can definitely help explain to others how his system works.
The media is going to put Bart down because he dared to fuck with the almighty media. While he was no long a full time player, I wish we had 45 Bart Scott's on our team. The guy played with passion, came to play every game and hated losing. Wish it could have lasted longer but it was time. Thanks Bart and fuck Gary Myers faggot!!!
Agreed. He deserves lots of respect for helping Jets D put it together for two near SB runs. Overpaid right now but this organization definitely benefited from acquiring him.
Yes I will definitely miss Bart. He was been the voice of the franchise an represented for us as fans way more than rex or any of the FO. You are not a real jets fan if you don't swell up with pride while watching this video I really hope that he will restructure and come but. I don't want him up there in the tunda play for the Benedict Arnold.
Too bad up & down are dimensional positions, not directions. North is only considered up because that's how we read a map, but there is no up or down when referring to directions. What happens when the inevitable comes and the north and south pole switch polarities? South will be "up" and north will technically be "down". On the price is right, when they would say, "come on down", did that mean they were referring to literal southward movement or was it a figure of speech?
I'd rather have Bart back than Pace. Besides, Barts already said he would take less to come back to play for Rex. We need help at both I/O LB so keeping one of the two isn't a bad choice. Its unlikely you are going to pick up a "Patrick Willis" this offseason so Bart isn't a bad rotational player.
