These were all non-brainers, the head of the grounds crew would've cut these same guys. It's how Idzik fills all these holes that matters.

What matters is that it feels good to have someone in charge who is making moves the "grounds crew" could have made. We haven't seen that as of late.

Very good. Next I would go with Tebow. Enough already. No one is trading for him.

Little surprised regarding Josh Baker. only 550k cap cost.
    guess his injury was bad.

the other guys were a no brainer considering age and cap.

Thanks for the past NYJ contributions guys..

Nothing too shocking here but nice to see that cap number getting into a bit better of a situation. Still have lots of work to do though.

The only shocker, to me is Baker.

Now cut Tebow because no one in their right mind will trade for him. Restructure Sanchez' contract and re-sign DeVito, Braylon, and Shonn Greene.

Baker is a jag. Why the hell would you want to re-sign greene? He doesn't fit the new offense at all and wasn't even very good when he did.

Pretty much. Now I want to see if/how he gets creative in suppressing the cap figure further.

Cuts have just started. I'm sure there's gonna be quite a few more cuts coming down.

A little surprised to see Baker go. Before the injury, I thought he was really putting it together as a FB. Decent on blocking & had some good hands. With his low salary, I'm guessing that pre-season dirty hit has ended his career. If he had chance of coming back, I'm sure they would've let him at least attend training camp.

    yes. yes and YES

I want Shonn back in Greene. It will piss me off so much to see him on some other team bulldozing people. Yes we still need a full time RB but Shonn is a great backup

Greene doesn't bulldoze people anymore. He's one of the worst RB in the NFL in yards after contact.

Thomas and Gates are not under contract.
Cutting Tebow a likely possibility saving a little over 1 mil. After that, the cuts would be mainly training camp type guys.

Unless they end up cutting Holmes or Pouha, although i think they'll try to restructure both.

As of now, we are approx 7 mil under the cap, and we'll need approx 6 mil to sign rookies.
I think there is a very strong chance we trade Cro and free up over 10mil in space, in addition to some restructures/pay cuts.

He's also running into a stacked box almost every time behind an oline that was one of the bottom lines in the league for runs up the middle, yet they did runs up the middle more than any other team.

Trade Cro. His value will never be higher. And if u can get a 1st and 3rd for Revis, do it. Then restructure Pouha, if he doesn't cut him.
