Local kid in the division with some speed and won't break the bank. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8927433/buffalo-bills-allow-donald-jones-become-free-agent
Per sources inside the team he has an "undisclosed medical condition that flared up late 2012" He really shouldn't be the answer for a #2 WR on any team. Good special teamer and a solid #4 option.
He would be. He's a solid #4 or #5 receiver. Many believe the problem was that he didn't want to be paid like one. Who knows.
These are the type of guys I'd like to see us go after, young guys with tremendous upside who won't command a lot of $.
Exactly, secondary receivers with breakout potential. Look what Danario Alexander did last year. I think a big part of the problem was them force feeding Stevie Johnson the ball.
Donald Jones is a decent #3 or good #4 WR........no way should he have been a starter. Not giving CJ more carries, putting games on a journeyman QBs shoulders and making Jones the #2 guy...........thanks Chan!
Starting Fred Jackson over Spiller was the most baffling move to me. Spiller is one of the best backs in the league.
You do realize that the stat for starts literally only means that he was on the field for the first play, right? Fred could have "started" every game, but Spiller was clearly the guy.
As good ol Chan would say.........."It was Fred's turn"! When that was Gaileys explanation for CJ's lack of touches in the 4th quarter of some close games I knew it wouldn't be long before he was fired.
