You know where this is going... But for real, I think we should. When healthy, he's explosive. He's a great WCO running back. Contract and health are the issues.
Sure, kick the tires. I'd think he'll look to get paid something though, and he's got a lot of foot injuries piled up.
Wow they cut him over a .75mill pay increase? Sure he's "injury prone" but that's chump change for a back like that.
They are also going younger at RB. Why pay an average guy good money when you have capable backs on the bench now?
The Jets need to take a lesson from this and use this opportunity to cut the dead weight, aka Holmes.
The issues of dead money and no talent to back up the move make that different. Also take into account Rex loves Holmes while Coughlin was often frustrated with Bradshaw. I doubt he goes anywhere soon.
Cutting Holmes would make no sense. Cutting him frees up around $1 mil, where are you going to find a replacement for that much that can contribute like Holmes? And no thanks to Bradshaw.. draft a RB.
Wow that sucks. Even though he had foot foot issues, he still managed to make it on the field. Bradshaw has to be the angriest and most aggressive runner, behind Adrian Peterson. He routinely made 3 yard losses into 7 yard gains. Very disappointed in the Giants for cutting him.
Take a look. Def be an improvement over what he have now. Im on the gio bandwagon tho. They have Andre Brown too
He's always gotten hurt when used as a guy carrying most of the workload. I'd love to pick him up and use him in a rotation with Powell and McKnight.
Here's an easy key for free agents: If they're a fairly well-known name, we don't have the money to get them.
