I don't really care about someone gining me a break so why don't you worry about yourself, huh? BTW, I think that you defence of Sanchez, which you invariably base on 1-2 hand picked games, is beyond rediculous. When it comes to M.S. you act like an abused wife -- keep making excuses, remembering small "good" things and coming back for more. Bet those dark shades come in handy too.
Old slow vets is like 8-9 guys. Revis trade is potentially 3-4 picks, some of them high. That's a pretty big chunk of your roster. "Rebuild" or "replace" -- whatever you wanna call it, it's a big change.
There is always a media storm around Jets, regardless of what is or isn't done. As to the short-term decision designed to keep the job for HC... wouldn't it be Idzik's job to see through such decisions & fire Rex's ass the minute he starts to make them? In other words, wouldn't such decisions be a part of evaluation process that would determine whether or not Ryan gets new contract? I think you're right about personal relationship between Ryan and Idzik, that it'll probably be the single most important factor.
Wait until you see the team he has to coach before deciding what his future may be. It certainly won't be as good as this years team was, not with the players they will lose in free agency and the lack of money they will have to replace them with.
I for one hope we are thru with the firings and begin on The road to success. I don't want to see him fired, I want to see him focused, with few statements and more control over the team. He is a good coach with room to learn. I'm tired of so much negativity. I choose to remain positive. I think we have a GM we will be proud of. I'm looking forward to years of good draft choices to build this team from the ground up.
You guy just don't know how good you have it. There are teams out there just begging for a head coach like Rex Ryan. Not to many people can coach a team to one game shy of the playoffs with such a lack of an offense and injured key players. No doubt in my mind if holmes and Revis was healthy last season you guys would have made it to the playoffs
I sooo agree with this. It would he hard NOT to do better in 2013 even if we had almost the exact same team.....Bart Molasses Scott replaced by Demario Davis, Tebow and his huge distraction gone, a veteran game manager brought in to compete with Mark, David Lee to make it happen, Tony 'addition by subtraction' Sparano gone, Revis coming back to an already top backfield, Santonio coming back to join Stephen Hill with a full year under his belt and Wild Cat Kerley with 2 full years under his belt, Couples with a full year under his belt, and The Wilkerson lighting it up.... Just replacing dead wood with youth, bringing a new coaching staff to fix the offense, getting seriously good players back from injury, plus all the top talent izdik is going to bring in. If we don't get 10-12 wins in 1013 I'll be shocked. And if Rex really is on a shor leash, I guarantee there's an impression on Idzik's ass where Rex's lips have been and will continue to be inseparaable for the next 12 months.
yes yes just like everyone thought the team would be better last year simply because brian schottenheimer wasnt around anymore.
