Duh see that is what U get for being a internet traffic cop. See post #16,630 as he is the one who posted the link
I see now. Somebody posted a hyperlink. Then you tried to quote it but since you have no business in front of a computer, you failed miserably. Does that sum it up?
U & him both need withdrawal from NYJ homerism if U ask me. If you lack the $$$$$$ for the treatment I will gladly start a fund for U & be the 1st to contribute
If you really have the funds to support treatment, I suggest you start a fund to help the elderly navigate the world wide web. /heymoderatorhecalledmeold
Hahahahaha... TFF. Hey Champ, better not contribute any money just yet. Your "renters" are about to abandon ship, remember? You'll either have to pay up this Spring or cancel your tickets like you said you would.
Cmon now I have posted over & over again I will NOT be renewing my tix after 47 years. That would circa 1965 to 2012
One less old timer who buys tickets but does not go to games. We are getting there, by 2030 maybe will have a stadium full of Jet fans. By then, Woody's kids will complaining about Met Life and threatening to move the Jets to Iran and share the Marilns new stadium
A buddy of mine who shoots baseball tells me the Marlins Park is a big disappointment - mostly because of the lack of parking and it's shitty location. It's scary to get to your car afterwards. Hello fellas. I've been out of this thread lately once it became another place on this board to complain about the team and not stuff stadium-related. Have I missed anything good? I'll tell ya - like many other old-time fans I've been attending games through some miserable seasons, but thanks to their own pompous attitude after two nice playoff runs, the Jets have the sharks circling at every move. I found this year to be extremely unenjoyable - not just what we saw on the field, but just the day to day coverage of the team, and the things that are considered "Jets news". I'm becoming numb and turned-off to any reports about the Jets since it's usually alarmist BS whether it be Tebow related, Sanchez related, a tattoo, or even Vick rumors. I've been supportive of Rex Ryan throughout, but the situation has certainly turned on him hasn't it? This will probably be his last season. Wow. Anyway, the negative association they now carry, along with year four of an overpriced, underwhelming stadium certainly will make things uncomfortable for ownership this year. Reading today that Champ isn't renewing tells me there will be plenty of others too. I wonder if the brokers will buy up the discounted PSL's from those who were hoodwinked into them but couldn't afford them? We'll see. I now wait until zero-hour to decide if I'm renewing and that never was the case. Even after an 0-8 home season. I'm interested to see what other bandaids and touch-ups are added to Metlife Stadium in the next year as they prepare for "The Big Game". I drive by the stadium a lot, and can't help but to always look up at the ridiculous white plastic tarps that were added above the third level EZ concourses to provide a little bit of relief from rain for us beleaguered upper deckers . Maybe they'll just stretch white plastic wrap around the whole damn thing next January. It would help. Just put a big trash bag over that place. It's not the right attitude to have, but ever since the league announced the award of the game to this stadium three years ago, I've wished for a weather disaster. My issue was that the league should not have rewarded the Jets and Giants ownerships for building colossal stadium here without a retractable roof. I don't care about the "purists" who insist football be played in elements. A roof would have made the cost of tickets a better value for us, and been a boon economically for the area because of all the other events they could have year-round. In my opinion, it was a major f*ck-up that can't be forgotten. Ever. The legislators here should have demanded it in the stadium design when they cut their deal. Oh well. It's all contaminated water under the Berry Creek bridge. So, I'm rooting for poor conditions and plenty of stadium complaints next year. Even on a nice early February day (remember - the game is a night game on the east coast) the experience inside will be at best tolerable, at worst miserable. December night games there are rough let alone February. What if the winds are like how they were in the NYC area this past week? At least with the state of things in Florham Park, we won't have to worry about sitting in the overpriced seats in frigid conditions next February.
Yep so far to date there has been zero interest in my FR UP SL seats so my 2 options is 1 take the seats on spec which IMHO is silly or 2 give them back to Woody
I don't get your "cant afford the tickets" rant to someone that pays for one UD seat. Its chump change. Living in Northern NJ is insane financially, to me, Jet tickets are still a bargain relativity speaking. Champ, do you have an idea the price of things up here, especially with supporting teenagers? If Ir cant afford one UD ticket, that means I am jobless with zero income. Its not an issue, its the effort needed year in and year out without the occasional payback which is all any of us long time UD'ers are asking for. Just throw us a bone and all the other stuff is noise. But we just get teased every 10-15 years. Super Bowl Sunday and Championship Sunday get more depressing ever year. I want to know what its like to be a winner on Championship Sunday and wake up Super Bowl Sunday with your team playing. JUST ONCE. I am so envious of other teams. God, I feel like crying, we are never going to feel this in our lifetime. We are just like Cub fans but we don't have the cute history because we are nomads and our owners are either douche bags or to nice ( Leon). The Steeler loss 3 years ago is the one that got away and I will never forgive Rex for not getting that team mentally prepared to play that game. The Denver loss, we just fell apart but we were ready. We were so much better then the Steelers it was not even funny. DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to say U just do not understand that when you go on SS that will no long be "chump" change as U say. When U get there U will see what it is like to live on a fixed income & how much a thou means no matter if today U cannot see that. Then you have OTH to contend with the party now out of power who wants to take away your SS & medicare. So good luck to U with your so called " chump" change
None that I've heard. Tough call for Woody. You know he'd like to, but really can't for flee of exodus. Perhaps this is where he takes advantage of having PSL holders "stuck" in accepting ticket price hikes. Since they cut the price upstairs last year, I don't see them raising them this year. So, I'm guessing a slight bump in PSL ticket prices, upstairs hold as is. We'll see.
The Eagles and Redskins have just announced that they will be increasing ticket prices for next season. I couldn't imagine the Jets doing the same but we will all know soon enough.
Reality is you gave them up in 1995 after 30 years and have rented them out since. Why waste you time renting them?
I am with you 100% on this, Loge. Major fuckup not putting a roof on this monstrousity. It would have made all the difference in the world to PSL sales, ability to charge more for tickets, fan enjoyment and comfort, extra revenue for the franchise and state, etc. Really, REALLY stupid, IMO. And fuck the Giants, BTW. Woody should have had the balls to oppose them on the non-roof and, if push came to shove, told them he's opting out of the "partnership" and they can go build it themselves. Then we buy the old stadium from the state, renovate it, paint it green and have a wonderful stadium of our own with beautiful sightlines and overhangs for fan comfort.
