Not really, but we owe Mark twice as much as we pay the entire 10 man offensive coaching staff put together. Money talks, offensive coaching staffs walk.
I had a feeling this guy would get the boot He's a Sparano guy and honestly seemed detrimental to the progress of Ducasse and others.
This is a controlled, purposely false leak. Think about it, why randomly fire an O-line coach mere hours after your new GM has had his first press conference? Watch, I bet we won't be seeing too many 'sources' from Mehta anymore.
Did Korn/Ferry teach the Jets some new tactics on handling the media? Seems like the local smut writers have been on their heals since the GM search!
Its acutally a good idea on the Jets part, They should tell 3 people in the orginization 3 diffrent fake storys, And once atleast one of them gets leaked you will know who the rat is. Unfortunalty this same ploy caused Master Picel his beard on Game of Thrones
Wow. So either Mehta's been lying the whole time or his source has been exposed. I kind of think Manish is just a liar based on the absurdity of some of his "anonymous" source claims, but this would be great if the leak was found and destroyed. Either way it's a win. I guess that eliminates Pettine as the prime suspect at least since he's gone now and couldn't possibly be privy to that info.
I guess the media really wasn't lying after all.. Taken from Today's NYPost: Hmmm.. This can't possibly be true. Obviously a miss print from a vengeful media out to malign all things Jets. I won't believe my lying eyes ever again...
Here's the lineup as of today: The current New York Jets coaching staff: ■ Rex Ryan (head coach) ■ Ben Kotwica (special teams coordinator) ■ Marty Mornhinweg (offensive coordinator) ■ Dennis Thurman (defensive coordinator) ■ Louie Aguiar (assistant special teams) ■ Mike Devlin (offensive line) ■ Karl Dunbar (defensive line) ■ Justus Galac (head strength and conditioning) ■ Steve Hagen (tight ends) ■ Ron Heller (assistant offensive line) ■ Sanjay Lal (wide receivers) ■ David Lee (quarterbacks) ■ Anthony Lynn (running backs) ■ Tim McDonald (defensive backs) ■ Pierre Ngo (assistant strength and conditioning) ■ Paul Ricci (assistant strength and conditioning) ■ Brian Smith (assistant defensive backs) ■ Jeff Weeks (assistant defensive line/linebackers)
Interesting. It makes you wonder if this was the plan originally but it leaked, or if this wasn't a decision made until now. I kinda figured it was inevitable. I have to admit, I have much better feelings about this year's coaching line up than last years. This is how you begin to rebuild an offense.
It does seem like things get "leaked" kinda accidentally on purpose doesn't it. Pettine is gone but the leaks? they just keep on coming.
Wonder if Rob Ryan might get that job... "Former Chiefs and Browns Coach Romeo Crennel and former Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan are the New Orleans Saints' top choices to hire as the team's defensive coordinator to run the new 3-4 scheme, according to NFL.com." My guess is if he doesn't get the DC job over there he'll become the LB coach here... Jets are just waiting and probably have a backup plan in case that happens...
