Sundquist was interviewed in Denver after all this came out and he said he was misquoted by the journalist that went public with this. It comes down to whether you believe the reporter or you believe Sundquist. From the sound of the interview, I'm finding few reasons to doubt Sundquist was indeed misquoted. I think the journalist popped a stiffy thinking he had the latest scoop in the Tebow saga and ran with it. I kinda smelled a rat with this story. The owner sounded pretty giddy at first. Didn't he once say, "you can't get enough Tim Tebow..."
Tebow traded himself to the Jets. By the time the Jets realized he was on the team, Tebow was already conducting a press conference with the NY media. Neither the coaches, GM, or owner had anything to do with bringing him to the Jets.
