Like I have written several times already, I don't think either one of them is a franchise quarterback. I have no interest in Alex Smith or Mark Sanchez. Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to have to take a chance on a veteran with baggage. Pick your poison.

If Foles would be possible that'd be great I just don't see it. With Flynn Moore Alex Smith and Geno Smith out there I'd hope we get one of those guys before sticking with butt fumble.

Maybe you guys can pick up Ryan Fitzpatrick. He'd be a definite upgrade.

Out of these choices, i'd go with Kolb. Arizona had a good early run with Kolb taking the snap this season, and that line was dreadful. No playmakers at RB. He could run a nice west coast offense, especially if we couple it with a nice running game.

Jason Campbell to run the WCO. That's probably the Jets best option for next year although it's not a great one. Campbell,BTW, has a career path that has Rich Gannon written all over it. Unfortunately for him he's unlikely to find an offense to fit into that has the likes of Tim Brown and Jerry Rice on it.

Any chance Dallas is parting ways with Orton? Not great, by any means, but better than most of the guys on this list.

Also, I was under the impression that Trent Edwards and Mark Sanchez were the same human being......

The only guy on that list that I think can be a "difference maker" at QB is Mike Vick. I've never been a Vick guy, always felt he was overrated and not a great passer, relied too much on his legs and lacked accuracy.

But I just can't see us winning the division with a guy like Matt Flynn or Alex Smith as long as Brady is in New England. We need someone that can make the Pats pay for having a below average defense and porous secondary. Mike Vick is explosive enough to do that. Yes, he'll make his fair share of mistakes and throw some bad picks, but he'll also make some big explosive plays in the passing game and the running game.

He had no chance in Philly last year with that offensive line. If he comes here with a decent OL to protect him and some solid weapons in Holmes, Edwards, Kerley, Hill and a few guys from the draft, I think he can have success.

Vick gives us the best chance at getting back to the playoffs IMO. He's at least proven he's capable of getting to the playoffs and winning in the past. None of these other guys threaten an opposing defense enough.

Vick wouldn't even be able to finish the season. Look up his previous years, he turns it over like Sanchez & he's injury prone. He's losing his legs & his arm isn't what it used to be.

His OL was not good but he's also an idiot who holds onto the ball way too long. Imagine Big Ben but with a lot less skills. Vick from a few years ago provides everything you're talking about. Not this broken Vick that can't even stay on the field.

    *******
    edit:
Woah, I take it back. Fitz contract is really long.

Some of Campbell's problems are the same exact problems that have plagued Sanchez. Can't read defenses quickly and has never been a consistently accurate thrower. Also to be fair he's never winning an NFL MVP like Gannon did regardless of who his WR's are. Matt Moore will be the most cost effective, short term fix for the Jets until we can draft our future franchise QB. It's really so obvious and hopefully Idzik is thinking along these same lines. We don't need a high priced FA QB. We just need a mistake free careful QB and Moore fits that bill to a T.

I belive there will be a bidding war for Moore and he'll want similar money to what Orton wanted from the fin's a couple years ago.

I think he winds up in TB.

Campbell meets the minimum requirements pretty easily though. He's got a career completion percentage over 60% and Int% at 2.4% with 2000+ throws. He's exactly the kind of journeyman you want to plug into a WCO when you are trying to get it off the ground. He's not likely to be the reason the offense hums but he's also not going to be the reason it fails.

Matt Moore is nearly 2 points below him in completion percentage and a point higher in Int's.

Harbaugh of course took the first opportunity to get away from his above average performer to a real star prospect. If the move fails it likely won't be because he made the wrong call on talent, it'll be because Kaepernick gets hurt running the ball.

Nope. I think he's equally as useless. Give two trash QB a change of scenery and maybe one of them can find success.

Don't worry though, since the contracts don't match up I'm actually not anti-Sanchez in this particular instance. You can go back to trolling the forums for every anti-Sanchez post you can find Ms. Sanchez.
