God I hope that's not the case... the sooner Tebow leaves the Jets... the better for both parties. But this is interesting as David Lee was the true inventor of the wildcat. Then again, Rex has always enjoyed employing the wildcat, and by no means does it have to be (or should be) Tebow running it http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ach-article-1.1238812?localLinksEnabled=false
No, for two reasons. 1. Just no. It doesn't mean that. 2. David Lee is part of the Sparano staff that coached Tebow in the Senior Bowl. Sparano never believed in Tebow -- they were the staff that leaked all sorts of comments that he was horrible when he showed up for the Senior Bowl, and they put him out there (with one week of practice) and tried to get him to do a bunch of drops and snaps under center. One of the biggest stars to ever play in the Senior Bowl, with a huge fan turnout, and they put him in an offense he'd never even come close to running before. After that, Chad Henne started publicly bad-mouthing Tebow -- it became open season. I'd say David Lee was part of that culture, and has no belief in Tebow.
they asked him to do stuff that he has to do in the n.f.l. while all the team scouts were there? those bastards
I sure hope so Its no wonder Tebow never worked out with SparOHNO here. It was whatever the exact opposite of a match made in heaven is...
It served its purpose. But 2 or 3 practices is not enough to learn a new offense or a totally new style. It's not really showcasing him or the players he's playing with. So Lee wouldn't tend to indicate anything different. But I'm really not up for another round of "Is Tebow good? Are his fans horrible? Why all the excuses?" Just pointing out that the whole Sparano staff would include Lee, and he wouldn't be connected to developing Tebow.
All kinds of people have been involved in holding Timmy down for years. Just look at anyone involved with any situation where he hasn't been successful and you're sure to find a handful of them.
If we want to win in 2013 we start Tebow at QB in a spread offense. If we don't then start Mark. Rex will start Mark. Rex is all about Rex. Winning be damned.
Tebow's only legitimate value to any NFL team is that if they make him the starting quarterback for 2013 and leave him in there for all 16 games from start to finish it's like giving that team a GUARANTEED first overall selection in the April 2014 draft with the 0=16 record that Tebow will produce Timmy is to quarterbacking what Richie K______ is to head coaching
yea i not starting the same argument. just pointing out that there was no injustice done. they did to him. they put him in pro style sets just as they do every player there.
How did that work out for the broncos? We'll just throw Tebow in and finish this crappy season that started 1-4 and go get Luck.... oh wait... they won 6 of the next 7
Tebow is too slow to be an effective wildcat QB. He needs to be a fullback or something if he wants to exist in the NFL.
I think we can all agree that it would be best for Tim to move on. Come to think of it, it doesn't serve any purpose for me to post here. So I'll move on, and make you happy. Good luck next season. I'll tune in when you play the Patriots.
Before putting on the 20 lbs or whatever, he ran a 4.7, which I believe is faster than most LBs in the NFL.
